In the RU-vid world where guitarists become biased influencers by receiving too much free to keep product it's refreshing to see someone like Jon staying humble and honest.
I think your clean sound playing is the most interesting because with good effects no matter the pickup you can always find a good sound, it's clean that the pickup expresses it's difference I believe
Hi Jonathan, from Northern Ireland. I have one of these and it has become one of my favourite guitars to play, the combination of neck, pickups and tremolo is just perfect. Very versatile when rolling off the volume, I’ve even used it with the worship team in church and has great tone with delay and reverb. I love your reviews. Have a blessed resurrection Sunday 🙏
I've owned and played Les Paul's, Teles, and Strats. Bought this one, and it blows them all out of the water! For $800 bucks out the door you get a superb quality made instrument. The fretwork and craftsmanship is emaculate and is so easy to play. When tuned to Drop C it is a BEAST! Absolutely love it!

Great intro as always Jon! This guitar sounds good and is very appealing to the eye. It would make a nice addition to anyone's guitar collection. Thank you for presenting these guitars to us in the manner you do!
Mark Tremonti is Fantastic Guitar Player. His New Album,, Marching in Time,, is Perfect. I played His Signature Model at Session Music Frankfurt. It is a Perfect Instrument for Blues, Rock and Metal. Perfekt Sound 🤘. And Jon, your Playing at the Video was Amazing. 👍
I was curious about this one Jon and looks and sounds as good as I suspected it would. Beautiful tones. I agree about split coils, I’ve rarely found one that is usable. They never quite sound right. Another excellent review Jon, thanks 😊 🙏🎸👍
The Tremonti SE was my first electric guitar. It’s also my only electric guitar. Mine was made in Korea vs Indonesia, for what that’s worth. I didn’t know who Mark Tremonti was before I bought this guitar. It just seem like the best blend of build quality, playability, and tone for my money at the time.
Another thoughtful review with the bonus of some really nice playing! Thanks! I agree re: the whole split coil thing, prefer a simple set up dedicated to getting the best out of the pick-ups on the guitar. That said, I do own a PRS SE 24-08 which is a lovely quite affordable (on sale here) instrument and the split coil option is there if needed. I was intrigued about getting a Duesenberg Falken a while back but availability when released was a problem (I'm in HK) so maybe later . . . cheers.
Great demonstration. I initially tried the 245 but the neck just wasn't for me. Swapped for this Tremonti SE and I love it. Very solid guitar. Right now it's in the shop getting a nut upgrade. Why they still use plastic nuts on guitars at all is beyond me.
Can you imagine what kind of shock would have gone through the guitar industry if almost any of the modern mid-priced guitars had shown up in 1972? Value for money these days is almost too good.
Awesome setup review and playing! I have the previous version of this guitar, it has a blue-grayish color and the plastic accents are cream colored. Would you know if there are upgrades on that charcoal burst version versus what i have?
I love your reviews Jon. If I am interested in a product I always look to see I you have reviewed it just to hear you play on the instrument. I have a question for you and I understand this is a purely personal opinion, would you prefer the pick-ups on this SE Tremonti or those on the SE 245 for blues and 60's/70's rock. Just curious. Thank you and keep up the great work.
Hi Jon, I love how you jam. I just recently bought that same exact guitar. I fell in love with it's color and I'm a huge Tremonti fan. Quick question..... what passive pickups are best for metal music that would fit my Tremonti guitar? I've looked buy not sure which ones to pick.
I have the older version of this guitar, when it was still being made in S.Korea and swapped the SE pickups for a set of S. Duncan JB/Jazz (''Hotrodded Set''), they sound great for rock/metal. Dave Mustaine used this combo for many years in his Jackson guitars. The JB also sounds great with as combo with a '59 in the neck, if you want a little more output in the neck position. If you want something with more output, I could also recommend the S. Duncan SH-6 (''Distortion'') set.
Hi Jon! How're you doing? I'm calling from Brazil and would like to know your opinion. How do you like this guitar comparing to ESP LTD EC-401? Thanks a lot! Marcelo
@@JonIsJustTooLoud ok! I got it trough your vídeo, but my point is regarding quality and not sound at all. Do you think they are both on the same level? Thanks a lot for your response.
Jon! Love you man, but EVERY guitar you now play/demo now sounds the exact damn same! (same patch/distortion/programme etc!??) lets have a little change!?? XX
