In this video, I compare two fantastic PRS high gain pickups: The Tremonti Treble and The \m/ Metal Treble. I'll play alternating clean riffs, high gain "Dad Rock" riffs, and finish up with a "Creed Shootout" because ... well ... it just feels like the thing to do!
In addition to comparing the pickups in the same guitar, I was careful to use the same strings and pickup height. I also used the same exact preset in my Neural DSP Quad Cortex, using the exact same settings for both pickups ... no post EQ.

Great comparison! Where did you get an "uncovered" \m/ metal bridge pickup? Seems only nickel covered ones are available these days..

I’ve been looking for a replacement for my HFS and man, this is a tough decision, I honestly think they both sound awesome; definitely different but still incredible sounding

Thanks man for the comparisons. I’ve had 59/09’s in my S2 for a while now and I’m missing the clarity I had in BK Aftermath equipped guitar. Tremonti has always been a favorite of mine so his pups to peak my curiosity.

I really like the M sound better persoanlly, overall. Ive been looking for a pickup upgrade for my S2 594 SC and I think I just found it. BTW which PRS is that?

That’s a 2010 PRS Tremonti that I had refinished a few years ago in a color called “satin aluminum”. I think you’ll like the Metal … it’s a great pickup!
