@@watercolorwanderingwithk I agree with Miranda. 😄 I look for the green tint which should be there in Prussian Blue, making great vibrant mixes for greens, while somehow still making fantastic violets. and I was looking for that in the swatches as it went down wet. So of the three, the Da Vinci wins outright. Winsor and Newton has that, too. I felt that the Daniel Smith version looked more a neutral blue than Prussian. Burnt Sienna would be a great choice for comparison, as it is very different across the various ranges! Yes, please, Kori! 😊

I really like the Da Vinci. It’s a shame it’s so difficult to get here. I’d love to see the Dioxazine Violet comparison

They're really cheap here. I was quite surprised

Thank you for doing this I cannot wait to find out your opinion of different Veridian. The one Prussian blue that I'm still curious about is the m Graham

I was wondering about MGraham as well. My favorites were DaVinci, Isaro, and Holbein.

My favorite for years has been the Schminke Horadam tube watercolor paint. That Prussian blue has the darker mass tone than what you painted in your video. Did the half pan need to sit with water a little longer? An excellent video, well done. Thank you.

Nope, it was pretty well saturated.

Isaro and Roman Szmal are very similar and I like those the best. I would like to see an ultramarine blue comparison video and Phthalo blue and the different shades. Or any pigment you choose to make a video on. Thanks!

Next time! I do my best but it is expensive to buy what I need for these comparisons, and sometimes dot cards just don't work.

Thank you for the comparison! Prussian Blue is a color I somehow don't have in my palette. I love how Isaro came out. It would be cool to see a Quinacridone Red comparison. I always at everyone using Rose, but I lean towards the red. I only have the Daniel Smith variety so I'm curious about the other brands without shelling out all my dollars. ❤️

That one I might have to do in my pigment comparison, only because not as many brands label theirs as a "quin red" and instead something else, but use similar pigments. Definitely something I'll look into :)

PB27 is my absolute favorite: a strong cool blue with no brilliance but an elegant touch of dullness. I use it im my earth palettes... by now it is an old mineral pigment, an iron blue with class. That makes it an earth in my book- along with PR101, PY42/43, PBr7 and most of the PBks (ie not Perylene Green!) You can do marvellous work with these cheap pigments- plus they are lightfast. The smaller the palette, the better the painting. We have too many pigments now... which is FABULOUS! I'm a hypocrite!

I Love Prussian blue 🥰 My absolutely favorite so far is by roman szmal, followed by holbein and finally winsor and newton, even though I only tried their prussian blue from their cotman series but I love it so much 😊 qor's version if fun but a biit less vibrant than holbein and roman szmal from what I experienced. I would love to see you comparing purples 🥰

Which Daler Rowney did you use. Aquafine or the Artists range. The Artists range is highly pigmented

van gogh is a student paint so why is that in there ? rembrandt is the professional, in that brand. You should compare professional, not mix with student colours as thats not a true comparison.
@watercolorwanderingwithk
@watercolorwanderingwithk 4 месяца назад
The entire point of this is to compare brands that use the same name for their color and while yes that is a student brand sometimes it's nice to see what a student brand offers in comparison to not student grade and if that is why I include them
