PS Remote Play on Android TV OS devices & Chromecast with Google TV | PS5 

This is pretty cool if you have a TV in a different room but don’t want to move your PS5.

I can’t even use this SONY app on my SONY TV. It needs Android 12 while all your 2023 Sony TV models (except A95L) come with Android 10…

Reminds me of the PS Vita TV with the PS4 remote play. That was neat!

That’s a pretty nice feature, hopefully it will come to Apple TV soon.

Please make one for the Apple TV. The third party apps have a lot of lag

Hi maybe you should also support webOS so that people with LG TVs have a remote play app as well. I would guess the LG C series are the most popular OLED among PS5 owners.

Stuff we need in future PlayStation updates 1. Being able to separate party chat audio from recordings when sharing them 2. Being able to use voice keyboard inside of games 3. Fix an annoying bug that suspends your game when trying to save a clip with a full storage, thus deleting your clip 4. Being able to record System UI 5. Explore tab in all regions 6. This is more of a visual thing but it would be cool to make the default selection in the quick menu to be on the home button rather than being on the far left 7. I'm not a storage expert but if it's possible to make video clips and screenshots to save on your m.2 SSD that would be helpful! 8. Letting more 3rd party services the ability to create media apps for the PlayStation 9. PlayStation Stars being in all regions 10. Being able to see game update history 11. Backing up save files using a usb on PS5 and not being limited to cloud storage only 12. PS4 players should be able to see your share screen 13. Ability to buy avatars on ps5 like you used to do on ps4 These were some of the most important things that the current state for the PS5 software need after owning the console since launch day. You took "Play has no limit" very seriously!, I liked that!

Why still no TVOS Remote Play app for AppleTV? I think it's great that it now runs on Android, the adaptation to AppleTV shouldn't be a problem, as it already runs on the iPhone and could also be possible via AirPlay. The only annoyance is the latency via AirPlay.

I just hope they implement the PS5 controller adaptive triggers on remote play at some point, because that's one thing that keeps me away from playing my PS5 games via remote play on my Chromecast 4K with Google TV sometimes, because i miss that immersive gameplay that comes with the PS5 controller adaptive triggers, C'mon Sony make it happen already.

now do the same with ps plus/cloud streaming without needing the ps5, mainley bring that to the ps portal would be awesome

I've never been able to play remote play on either my phone or my computer. It works perfectly On the Chromecast.

Can't figure it out. Why does it need two different apps? I don't see the chrome icon on the ps remote app and i don't see the remote app or whatever it is when opening Google TV app. Chromecast is working.

I don't have wifi at home, so it works great on my PS4 when I go to library. Also, next year I will get a PS5 and hopefully I cam still do it.

No way Sony is announcing this like it's a big deal or some cool tech, and people are "buying" it lol. "Play has no limits"... In fact, there's a lot of limits in Playstation, like this one. They need to chance this slogan and learn a thing or two with Xbox about play with no limits in cloud

I would love it if I can play my PS5 games on my phone that I purchased digitally without the need to own the console.

Am I the only one that’s not impressed because it’s a long overdue feature of remote play I’ve been waiting on for years lol, this was what I thought the whole end goal would be to roll it out on TVs so I don’t have to keep moving my PlayStation as well as cloud support for lots of devices for premium members (would actually make it worth buying kinda)

If both devices are hardwired to the network, I bet latency could be insanely low.

So they are finally bringing this to more devices huh? I remember when you could stream ps now games to blu ray players and tvs and other stuff but they got rid of it. I really wish Sony would make the PS Plus premium streaming available on more devices too. I love remote play on my backbone and portal, but i want more ways to play. Thats one thing Xbox has done a great job with and one ive constantly been bewildered that Sony hasnt addressed more. A wired connection to a compatible tv or chromecast would help a lot though im sure. I tried ge force now free tier on my Sony Bravia and it was pretty terrible compared to my phone which had better wifi support.
