PS22 Chorus of 2012 presents our graduation song, "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts. This was a request from our dear friend Ms. Lisa (our videographer) and the kids dedicated it to another dear friend, 5th grade teacher Valerie Panzella. Truly one of the greatest educators on the planet, no one is more deserving of such a loving tribute....
And for all those who share in our upset of losing this incredible group of fifth graders, not to worry! There are several more special performances, projects, and videos to come from our 2012-ers that have yet to be posted and will be appearing throughout the summer! (This includes an unforgettable Public Service Announcement for the National Forest Foundation that was filmed this month and will be premiering on the Discovery Channel in July!) Thanks to all the fans of the kids for staying with PS22 throughout this most incredible year!!

This year has been the best since i started watching your videos. Not bacause you are better singers than usual, but because of the love and friendship i see with every single one of you. And that is what makes me so happy and is why i think this year has been the best ever.

Awww i am very big ps.22 fan, i used to go to ps.58 near the mall in staten island. I found you guys singing on t.v and i was very intrested in you guys. When i saw kevin and the rest crying it shows me that Mr.B can change a group of kids from kids to kids who love singing. I apprreciate people like him. cant wait for the new chorus

What a compliment for Ms. Panzella.Help her to help the kids by checking out her project on DonorsChoose and consider donating. If the kids are convinced that she is wonderful, that is all I needed to make up my mind to support her.

This has to be one of the most touching videos I have ever come across! These kids are so full of love & potential, I hope they ALL know that! And, I have a strange feeling that the teachers at PS22 had a hand in that!

It doesn't seem like two minutes since the last year chorus were singing their last few songs and being emotional. A year has gone by so fast. Thank you to all of the children for making my year full of music. I so look forward to getting the emails saying you've uploaded another video. My favourite this year was when they sung with Walk the Moon, especially Anna Sun which I hadn't even heard of before I saw them singing it.

Having found your youtube channel on 'accident' as i was googling my childhood school ps 22 (from queens).. I have become a true fan... I only wish i had a teacher as wonderful as your music teacher.. Teachers like him are a real gem, and hard to come by.... Iwatching all these videos bring me back so many memories of my school years.. They seem to have gone by way too fast.. Very touching thank you u guys made us realize how great kids r and how much talent we have. I loved your songs throughout the year i hope u have another amazing group like this one next year. I can't remember the last time I cried like Iam crying right now... I love the song so much, and cried of joy when I saw you covered it. And then listening to it... the harmonies, your voices, the entire performance is perfect. The dedication is beyond beautiful. At the same time, seeing these wonderful kids in tears makes me cry along with them, and it's so sad to know the year is coming to an end. So many emotions here. Just... On one hand it's sad to see them go but on the other hand Mr. B will do his magic on new students. And if you compare the videos from the beginning of the school year you can clearly see how the kids have matured. And then there's the famous quote that fits so well here: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."

Unfortunately, though the kids rocked their graduation performances, the audio technicians were not at the top of their game this year. The group was not miked properly and all you can hear are the instruments and the soloists. Perhaps I will post "One and Only" on our alternate channel (/ps22chorus), but sadly, it will probably only leave you as frustrated as I feel for it not getting the proper audio it deserved.
