yeah alot of people don't know that and then you have to wait to transfer the compiled package out of the folder into the "packages" folder which is another step and wastes time....now you do it in one shot! ....and thanks!

This was great but now I see why you didnt respond, pretty clear and I might be stupid because I already had the iso backed up on my computer which I should have used instead of creating another iso on my ps3 when I already created one with my game disc from computer. Genius bro.

Thanks a lot for these tutorials. Helps so much. Previously I messed up joining parts for Red Dead Redemption and the files are lost on the PS3 HDD, can't find em anymore... and I tried... hard.. several times, with multiple tools and I'm usually pretty okay with homebrew tools. The space is gone, blocked by the files. So I'll give this method a try

Thanks a lot, you are my savior dude, I downloaded gow around 2 weeks ago and it’s approx 35gb but it seems it contains a single heavy 8gb file inside so I couldn’t copy it to my fat32 128gb hard drive. Tried using ntfs but couldn’t get it to copy, irisman gives me error code 0xffffff or something. Well now the game is copying to my flash five smoothly, hope it plays well. I subbed

Another way to do this is to use USBUTIL , create game from iso to anywhere on your pc, then once its done right click on the new iso file within the USBUTIL application and click rip iso , then select the directory of your FAT32 usb and rip GAME/ISO to there . For some reason it cut down my bully iso to about 3.5 GB from 4.3GB but the game works fine, i think it builds the file in the USB rather than moving it which is why this can be done.

I have an issue. I made a "packages" folder on my USB and put my split download pkg files in there. I then plugged it into my ps3, went to multiman and accidentally copied the "packages" usb folder and overwrite the original hdd0 packages folder. Now my games won't show up on the XMB but it does show it in the packages folder?

@@bithal797 games dont read from the usb. the content in the exdata folder needs to be put in the system using reactpsn or another method. Just google how to install rap files for ps3. or license files.

So i did this with Red Dead Redemption which is a PKG file, followed every step on how to install but when i do it it fails at 8% and tells me it can't copy it but with files smaller than 4GB i can just install them fine tested it with Terraria and Minecraft. Is there a fix or anything please?

Doesnt work for me. I put my BLES games as a folder (with split files) inside my GAMES folder. Its sitting right there in the right place, but I dont have the "split" tag under my game.

I must be missing something but don't know what. When I run the ps3splitter, t quickly scans and says done, then my iso is missing from both locations, the folders are just left empty. The PS3splitter seems froze on "Initializing ...".

It doesn't come up with split for some reason. It is a 40 gigabyte game; (Assassin's Creed Collection), but if I press on it, it still loads the game as a emulated disc. I haven't launched it yet, because I'm putting it on to the hdd, but is it still good to play?

I downloaded an ISO, recompiled it correctly, now it appears as "HDD". I press X and it exits out of MultiMan and I get an "Unsuppoted Data" icon I dont have that Packsge Manager, how do I get it? :/

When I click execute it finishes in 3 seconds and it's a 14.3GB file, and only does one piece that's 328MB big help.

Hi bro, pls help me.. pkg and folder works fine.. but i cannot combine the iso. So i got 5GB iso and split it to 4+1GB and got 2 iso.6660x files. When i changed the folder name to PS3ISO, and click enter, it automatically changed lowercase and HDD wont read it as ISO folder. Then i tried select both iso file and copy it to existing PS3ISO on internal hdd, all it did was copying it 1 by 1 and does not combine it . Pls help

If what you mean is why it doesn't ask you if you wish to merge the split files, then no worries. The files will be merged. I just tried this myself after not being asked if I wanted to merge them (when copying the game folder renamed "packages" onto the hdd.

When you say packaged file, are you referring to how the game would be directly after downloading from a website and not decrompressed through a program such as winrar?

It works, but i still want to ask a question to you, i've got a super slim ps3 with hen installed and i want to play a ps2 game but the only way i can play is to convert the ISO to bin.enc,mount it and open ps2 classic emulator, but when i split it and put it into the ps3 hdd to rejoin the ISO parts and try to boot it, it fails showing me the classic *no signal message*of my TV forever,can you help me?

when i pop in my usb multiman never shows my games from the usb... i always have to go to file manager and into usb and copy and then paste in games in hdd for the games go show up... is it maybe because i put the folder in the root of the usb and not in a games folder? they are always the blus****** back up folders.... i also copy them and past as ISO in the iso folder just because i dont use a disc... can i do this prosses with the split files and will multiman repair them in this method? i figured id ask while im waiting for them to copy over to my usb...

you must first put in the usb... then go into webman mod, then ps3 setup, here look for "refresh xml" button, click it.. it will now scan all the games in your usb (as long as they are in the correct and properly named folders, for example: ps3 iso games should be in a folder that's on root of usb named PS3ISO. Regular ps3 game backups that are in folder format like BLUS01717-[call of duty black ops 2] .. those should be in folder called "games" no quotes. and so on) Once webman scans everything, it will ask you to reboot, do so and DO NOT remove the usb. When system boots back up. the games will now be selectable in webman mod and can be loaded and launched from there.
