Thank you, I’m gonna try this fix. There’s a huge delay when I was playing Borderlands 3. I pull the trigger and the gun shot sound would happen a second later.
i dont use amp but i faced it while recording using Razer RIPSAW HD capture card when i restart the ps5 it works fine but never happened before i will try that fix hopefully i dont face it again
On PS4 you can just plug the optical cable and it works out fine. Just bought a PS5 and got a little depressed about the fact that it lacks a optical out.
I'll try this, I kind of noticed doing a similar thing fixed mine but only for a minute or two while playing battlefield, then eventually the lag woukd be back. For me if I changed the sound setting from soundbar to amplifier , that woukd make the sound in sync, but only temporarily. Same if I changed it from 5.1 to 7.1 and then back again. Very frustrating situation just dropped 1300 on a samsung q series soundbar and it has the damn lag when playing games
This issue only exist on next gen for Ps5, Series X/S so it is obviously not the console but the application that the company won't do anything about. To avoid this have it on 480p. It's the only solution for now. You're welcome.
Solution is switch to PCM output instead of compressed Dolby or DTS formats, also make sure you're using highest version of HDMI cable for sound - bandwidth is important here.
i'm so frustrated trying to figure out a fix for my setup. Dolby lags. DTS lags too, but it's barely perceptible, but for whatever reason (it's gotta be my reciever) i get odd cracking/popping with DTS. And my TV doesn't passthrough PCM, and I need my PS5 running into my TV to get VRR and 120.
I have this same issue when I Bluetooth my tv to a speaker while playing the ps5, it has a terrible 2 second delay and nothing I do fixes it, I’ve tried so many crazy little settings in the tv and the ps but nothing works.
