With the ability to handle 4K at 120Hz and 8K at 60Hz, the PS5 is a powerhouse in the making… but has it’s poor roll-out and lack of storage... hindered what should’ve been Sony's finest hour.

I like how you record your TV with a camera just staring at it with the sound. It actually is an interesting touch not many other game channels do. Its almost as if we’re sitting there watching and relaxing. Good chill style.

Im lovin it so far...best start to a new generation i can remember, especially having the benefit of still playing ps4 games natively and in many cases upgraded with a free patch

Well here we are 3 years in...I'm no PS5 Hater infact I love all the new Features and "some" (yes I said some) of the exclusives but on the other page of my experience with the PS5...I kinda feel like we are not getting that much of the hype like we had back in the PS2 or heck even the PS4 Days, I mean with the PS5...Literally most of the games are available on PS4 and remakes of older games, low storage that only have just about 600 GB usable in it, And Then Need a special SSD to upgrade which is also very expensive. I say to ya'll people who are still at the fence, Rather just Wait for the Pro (which I did with the PS4), Personally I just feel like I'm wasting my PS5's lifespan by just simply playing PS4 games. Those who are still rocking with the PS4 right now, I suggest just Buy a new one whenever there are actually games on it (atleast 70 Exclusive games 😅) or when they slap in more storage in it. Like if the PS5 ever comes out with 2TB.

Ye, apart from a handful of games that do 4K@120 fps it’s been lacklustre. The storage issue is definitely Sony taking advantage of people. Hopefully in the future bolt storage drops in price to the point where it’s a minor issue as I can’t see Sony sacrificing profits to give back to their community of loyal players with an abundance of free space🤷🏻‍♂️ And don’t get me started on 8K content 😢

Hey Diablo, I’ve got 2 meters of LifX strip lights on the back of the cabinet and 3 meters on the back of the TV. They’ve been super reliable, and look great. www.lifx.com.au/products/lifx-lightstrip-2m

Don't forget though that yes even though the PS5 doesn't have that many exclusives 2 years later, almost all of the PS4 games are backwards compatible with the PS5, and also some PS4 games come with a free PS5 upgrade. The only thing I wish is that Sony released the original PS5 with more internal storage so that we didn't need to get an M.2 SSD drive and have that in the back of our minds all the time so to speak. Particularly if games nowadays take up a ton of storage. And with what you said about external hard drives for playing games, that's not technically true. While yes you can't play PS5 games directly off of the drive and it's therefore only there for storage, you can play PS4 games directly off of the drive to save space on the internal storage. I've got a ton of PS4 games on my external hard drive, and when I get my PS5 which hopefully is soon, I can use that which is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

Yes, you can play PS4 games directly from the external SSD, but not PS5 games unfortunately. Sounds like you have an extensive PS4 library, so should have the best of both worlds once you get one 😊 and Let’s hope the M.2 drives drop in price over the next 6 months as well 👍🏻

Hey James, unfortunately with the rate in which new gen consoles are coming, some games on older gen will get zero patch love 💔 Just the way it is bro ☠

@@frostfire_mage only half of god of war ragnarock is finished on disc. Without patches and updates. The disc is really useless. These trends really need to stop.

I was never really a fan of COD games until MW2 dropped, and then I really got hooked on it, especially with the adaptive triggers on the dual sense controller… it’s quite addictive 😅 Looking forward to the next iteration as well 👍🏻

It will be the same! 16 directional gameplay where players are going crazy buying new controllers for better aiming and screens for better FPS ..on an old digital canvas that has not improved any animations or player movement in over 2 decades. This is the reason Fortnite is so huge. Unrealistic player movement. Why improve?

Yea rn there is really no 8k content. Live TV is still at 1080p 4k isn’t the norm yet. So the PS5 is very future proof.

With the PS5 Digital Slim releasing in Q3 this year (with optional detachable disc drive)… there probably won’t be a Pro model til 2024 at the earliest 👍🏻

NextGen? The answer lies within the games themselves. Outside of the resolution and FPS, all the "new released" games animations are the same as they were in the year 2000 (23yrs ago). E.g Ratchet and Clank that was released in 2002, that was an 8 DIRECTIONAL PLAYER MOVEMENT game, is the same 8 directional today on PS5 ...as is the same with Fifa, NBA 2K, COD, Spiderman, GOW and all the other so called Next Gen games. Hence, remake, remastered, rehashed. Prior to the pandemic, Gamestop was shuttering its doors and gaming was next to dead. I expect the same to happen pretty soon as gamers are growing weary of the same old stale gameplay. The PS5 can only be next gen if the games are also, therefore it is not.

Hey Bobby, it’s an interesting point you make, and in some respects I agree with you, if you look at the game mechanics over the last few generations. Things have not really changed. The focus being on FPS and resolution to determine a platforms next generation capabilities. But the thing I do like with the PS5 is the controller, as it improved haptic feedback, trigger resistance and audio cues (on the controller)… adding another dimension to the gameplay.The PS VR2 is something I’m looking forward to, in terms of further enhancing the immersion and escapism. Are you going to try it out?

@@frostfire_mage I have the PS5 and Astro depicts the enhancements or improvements of Next Gen in terms of the controller. Amazing! However, i am not on the fence with the VR2, being that there are not many games to chose at this point and the price is a bit much.

Given that Sony are finally addressing the PS5 console shortages, and will continue to fill demand until the Slim and detachable disc is released in Q3 2023, I don't expect a price drop anytime soon.

Exactly… A vast majority of releases are still coming to the PS4, and since they have to be squashed down in order to work efficiently on both systems, PS5 owners aren't getting any more game for their buck 😒
