Make a video FULLY disassembling the controller, or any other ps5 stock dualsense controller, and show us how to change the front, back cover, dpad cover, how to change triggers etc. I haven't seen many videos on how to fully mod a controller like these big custom controller companies like AIM, Battle beaver, scuf, hypr, etc.
I just got the Volcanic Red controller and Scarlet Red back shell from ExtremeRate, I think the metallic red ExtremeRate matched better better than the shitty off colored plastic red from the Volcanic Red Controller.
Just finished the Rise4Metal About to do a Warzone solos test now I worked two shifts today and still managed to do it in about a 2 hours dedicated, first time taking the controller apart, Had to take it apart twice after the first complete put together As of now it’s done Works great I own two scuf controllers and am excited to see if these last more than 3 months
I tried to install one on the ps5 controller that came with my ps5 slim and the two holes on the cable didn’t line up with the little pins had to buy a used controller and fit perfectly.
please what did you mean 12:30 "i dont care mapping analogs" ? Is that cable needed to set up the paddles with the analogs clicks ? Im sorry i ain't english native I wanna be sure thank you anyway, going to order some
as far as i know the only part that wont work is the clicky trigger kit because they updated the triggers on the 040. feel free to use my link in the description and code Bombarded to get 10% off site wide!
Hi, I wanted to know if you should also put the neoprene strip in the back button contacts? because they also provided neoprene in my kit Thank you very much for your attention and availability.
So in the offical extreme rate video that used square pads for the k3 and k4 buttons not using these, are the buttons still clicky or should i use the pads?
I’m late but has anybody got the orange thing with the tape that doesn’t fit onto the prongs for it ? Mine is literally too small for my controller ? Edit: they sent me the 010-020 kit instead of the 030-040 lol
so i dont think you can get just the cable but here is the link for the kit. the price has dropped and if you use discount code Bombarded you will get 10% off. and dont forget to subscribe! extremerate.com/products/remappable-rise-remap-kit-for-ps5-controller-bdm-030-rubberized-dark-gray
I followed all the steps and I watched several different videos and I know I did it right I have the same exact kit and controller you have and the light blinked but didn’t map correctly the first time and the second time I did it exactly how you showed because it was a little different and now it won’t turn on at all. Is there a fix or is it just faulty please let me know asap if you can
Is there a way to get a clicky kit on the 040? Mouse click triggers? I have a bdm-030 I bought the clicky kit and this back paddles. And I broke the pcb board holes trying to fix drift soldering. I need to buy a bdm30 and cant find one anywhere or a used one for the parts or pcb. I got six 040s I had to return. If i cant get a bdm30 is there a way to get the mouse click triggers on the 40? And have u tried installed the clicky kit on this
i have installed it on the 030 but not the 040. i do not believe it will work because they updated the triggers on the 040. you may be able to pick up a older controller at gamestop or even ebay.
so you dont need the little red wire to contect ? I have also a BDM-030 but i dont want to conect the red wire. Does it mean just that tha back paddles cant be the analog R3/L3 ?
quick question I had installed this kit and everything works perfectly, especially when connecting with Bluetooth to my laptop. The issue was that when I opened up games, no response at all and it doesn't even detect the controller. is there any way you could help think of a solution?
You have to make sure fpc cable and the extreme rate cable are making contact. That neoprene thing should spilt apart. Put that under the original fpc cable and then put the extreme rate cable on top. Or use the tape to attach it directly to the mobo where the holes align
@@xMalinowy to be honest, im not sure. im pretty sure they ship world wide tho. also if you use my link and discount code bombarded you will get 10% off.
im not 100% sure but i believe you may be able to. i know that the contact point on the ribbon cable to the main board is the same, but i think they may have changed something with the trigger assembly from bdm030 to 040. Lmk if it works.
no. the pins need to go in the holes to make a good contact. best way to get them to stay in is to get them in and then sandwich the main board down on to it before flipping it over. please dont forget to subscribe!
@@bombarded9579 ok one more question . Will it still work if I don’t screw the back plate motherboard down ? I lost the screws for it and I was wondering if I didn’t screw it
It may still work but you really should get some screws in it because if it moves out of places the buttons won’t line up and stop working. The kit should have come with extras.
ok. it sounds like you are having an alignment issue. make sur you are pressing it all the way down when you close the shell and try to make sure it has the pin in place. if you have discord send me some pics of it and i will see if i can see the problem. The server link should be below the video.@@llnosama9205
Yes, they are pretty easy to put back in. Just make sure that you put them back in the correct way because if you flip them they wont work. The blue tab should be facing up. If you go to around the 9 min mark on the video you should be able to see what im talking about.
it is possible but unlikely. if you are worried about it just make sure to touch something metal before you start to discharge any static that you may have.
No, it has a different ribbon cable for the bdm030 and 040. I posted a link in the description for the kit. i believe you can select the bdm010/020 kit on the amazon link if that's what you need..
