PSA has done more to make the right to bear arms available and accessible for the People than most “mainstream” manufacturers combined. I can only speak for their Dagger’s and AK’s, but I love them. They hold up, they’re sturdy, and they shoot great. If you want an AK and maybe Zastava, KUSA, or certainly Rifle Dynamics are out of your budget, get a PSAK. They’re fantastic.

Honestly my AK is set up better than my AR-15 with all the right parts. With a decent muzzle device it doesn't kick like a mule and also doesn't deafen everybody around you 😅. Since it naturally has a little bit more weight I feel like it handles the recoil perfectly fine. Now for granted my KS47 needed a new muzzle now for granted my KS47 needed a new adjustable gas block to dial down some of that excess gas but even it now is shooting like a champ. I'm waiting for my fifth palmetto gun and I agree they are awesome awesome.

Here is the problem with the good ‘ol “PSA is cheap so it must not be good” argument. When you are buying directly from the factory, it’s going to be cheaper than a retail priced Glock. How much does the US Military pay Sig for each M17/M18? Around $250. By that math the $299 Dagger should be $800+ retail. I like being able to buy factory direct…..

I really like the dagger series. Have a few of em. I swapped the trigger for the extremely inexpensive P80 flat face trigger assembly and a combat armory connector. Get you a 5Lb striker spring (factory is 5.5). Polish all your internals and wow. Just wow. Now to find a way to neatly get rid of that grips finger groove! Good video, man.

No issues with any of them . Just bought the Rock 5.7×28. Absolutely love it. The Palmetto State Armory ammunition company AAC is what ammo I've been using. I love your analysis of the Dagger. It did come across unbiased and that I appreciate. Now from my perspective I have no issues with the Dagger whatsoever in fact I felt confident enough in it to use it as my primary duty weapon. Mine is completely stock no aftermarket high speed gear other than a Red Dot. I’ve been very accurate with it at distances out at 50 yards and have had extremely tight groupings at defensive distances between 10 and 25 yards. So my opinion is that is was a good buy and a reliable system.

I really appreciated this video. I needed a new EDC for myself, but I also needed to get my wife an EDC. We tried multiple pistols for her, and she ultimately chose an Sig P365X because it fit her hand the best. That’s great, because it’s her first gun and I also own an Sig SP2022 and really respect Sig’s quality and the way they shoot. However, that didn’t leave me a ton of money to buy a new EDC for myself. My Sig is just too big for concealed carry so I tried several pistols as well. I really liked a used Shadow Systems MR920 Combat, but the used price was almost $800 - after we had just spent $649 for my wife’s gun. Then I saw a PSA Dagger, exactly like the one in this video, with the OD green cerakote on the slide, threaded barrel, in the case. It was less than half the cost of the MR920, and fit my hand just as nice. I shot it and liked it. I also looked at a couple of Glocks to compare - a 19, a 43X, and a 48. None of the Glocks felt as good in my hand as the Dagger. So I bought it. A new Dagger - it was used, but the fellow who traded it in never fired it, so I got it the way he did - case, 2 17 round mags - everything out the door including background check and sales tax, for $448. Now all I have to do is find a holster for it, get my optic on it and a light, and it will be my new EDC. Thanks for non-review review. I really enjoyed your presentation and straight talk. You’ve earned a new subscriber.

Carried a G23 for about 20 of my 38 years as a reserve LEO, plus a G27 as a backup/off duty. Had a G43 that I traded for a G26 (my current EDC). Glocks have always been reliable for me. Bought two PSA AR15 kits in 2020 and have been very satisfied with their quality and reliability. When PSA released their Dagger Full Size S which is similar to a G19X (G19 slide/17 round frame), I bought the version that came with a threaded 4.5" barrel, cut for RMR optics and 1/3 co-witness sights. I added a red dot and light. My Dagger has been very reliable and is more comfortable to shoot than any of my Glocks. Rather than considering it to be a Glock killer, I feel it is an economical option that provides a familiar manual-of-arms in a form that is fun to shoot. I do not intend to use it as a concealed EDC (too bulky).

If you go with the compact version and you get the frame and upper separately, you can get one for about 240 instead of 300 for a pre-assembled one. Great deal imo. The only downside of getting them separately is it doesn't come with a mag, but that's not a big deal because I believe the pre-assembled ones only come with a PMAG anyways. With the 60 bones that you'd be saving, you could just get a couple genuine G19 mags instead.

I bought slide and frame seperate. Wated for sales. Bought frame with zev trigger installed. And got the slide and threaded barrel. I also bought a glock mag release for 5 skinnies. Much better.

People hate Glocks so much you can go to a nice pawn shop and find them for 380 400 and sometimes find them with night sights been doing it for years now and never got one messed up

How was your trigger out of the box? I succumbed to temptation and bought a standard Dagger frame and an RMR cut slide assembly. I hit it just right on sale and got it for $280! That said, the trigger felt like it was full of gravel. That worked itself out in about 100 rounds. It’s now very smooth though still a bit mushy. I’m only about 500 rounds into the Gun but 0 malfunctions so far. I shot it back to back with a T&E Shadow Systems MR920 this morning. I actually prefer the grip on the Dagger though the 920 has a more “controllable” trigger. I only put about 100 rounds through each today, but initial impressions are that it’s hard to justify the price increase of the MR920. Overall, I’m seriously impressed with the Dagger. I need to come visit your company. You aren’t far and I’m always looking for new steel to train my people with.

I love that PSA is not gatekeeping on prices. Not saying Glock is by any means. But dang PSA prices for the quality these days is so worthwhile. Its so cool to see good ergonomics on cheaper pistols. I think it's ridiculous that most $500 pistols dont come with any sort of slide serrations, solid sights, or properly sized mag releases. I understand quality parts requires higher prices but seeing something like the Dagger take the stage at $350 with at least good ergo makes me think a lot of other brands are really gouging the crap out of the market.

When the Dagger 1st came out & they started making Uppers. I bought the $179 SW4 GatorMouth Cut Complete Upper & slapped it on my G19X Lower.. Fits like a 1911! Cheaper than sending my stock Upper off for milling & messing up my stock Upper. Zero wiggle room between the upper and lower.. Only difference I found is the Dagger Striker is slightly different than a Glocks Striker. So you can slap the upper on & it will run but it won't if you try & put a Glock Striker in it. A 15lb recoil spring will eliminate failure to eject issues. The stock 17lb spring is a bit much. Also, Gen 4 & 5's just swap out the backplates. I put a FDE/Red O.W. Precision TAC Trigger, Spring Kit, 3lb Black Yikes connector & polished everything. Getting 2.7lb short straight pull w/ a short forced reset. When I put the stock Upper on? I'm getting a 5 to 5.5lb pull, which is odd. The Dagger Upper makes a difference..

That's crazy. I first heard the term Glock killer years ago and it was play Lincoln or something. I clicked on it and it was canik And onene multiple glocks and probably more daggers. Because they're so cheap and you can enter. Change the slide from both frames and they offer a color frames and ridiculouslide. Cuts with right and barrels pretty much can build any type of variation when the parts are on sale for under 300. I build every one of mine for under 300. And I currently now have 5 complete guns and just seen the colored frames. Recently I knew they had a zombie green. That was never in stock, but recently one on their few weeks. 10 different colors for the compact and the full size end as far as concealed. Carry or every day I went with the 365 Glock didn't even cross my mind. It did, but after planning around in the feeling the three sixty five and the capacity of it for what it is that and the mete mc9 I rotate with but I see a lot of people on eBay selling parts from PSA for 3 times the price and stripping them and taking the sites off. Mainly the slides and pain in them crazy colors. Or doing the gold plated. And selling them for $3400 and the slides. They can get on sale for a 150 with the optic cut and the C. NC mill holes on the sides dependent on what SW series. The only thing I didn't like at first on the dagger. When I got my first one was the trigger. It was very crunchy. Oh yeah, that and the recoil Spring sounded like A. Old rusty matcher Spring. But after some gun oil. And a few 100 rounds. I don't know how but the trigger is better than the Glock OEM. Trigger let least on the first one that I got the other ones. I haven't shot as much in 1 or 2 I haven't been able to shoot at all yet. They just instead sitting in the safe. But hands down, it's a no-brainer when it comes to Glock VS the dagger. They may have clone door stole the design from Glock. I don't know I have the Gen. For 19 and this is supposed to be a clone of the gem 3 I know on the bottom of the handle. There is a cut out square. On the sides and it's not all the way down like the Glock or full. So the magazine looks ridiculous. But other than that, you're pretty much getting the same. If not better gun for a third of the price. With very, very read Dacula, sleep price upgrade. It's added for it. That's my opinion And I base this off of a bout 5 years using the nineteen, the seventeen, the 20 two, the 20 three, and even with the 2223 had I known back then they were the first 2 that I got police trade ends that they accepted different calibrals. I would need when I've got the 19 or 17. Because I could have gotta 9 mm conversion and the 50 I mean, the 357 conversion barrels cheaper than I could of the other guns basically would've had. The same exact gun as the 1917 button multicaliber. So it would have been the 19 to 17 to 22 to 23 of whenever the 357. Series are But either way, they are both superior firearms. But I prefer something smaller for carry

There are alot of gun manufacturers that make great guns reliable guns but I think when it comes down to it,I would grab my Glock 17 or Glock 31 or Glock 20 and run off into the wilderness before I would take say maybe my Taurus g3.i love all guns.but Glock would be my go to for shtf.

With police trade in Gen 4 glocks at 349.00 to 389.00 it is very hard for me to go in another direction when for the same money , I get a proven Glock Gen 3 or 4. I have several glocks and just have a need for other brands of Glock like pistols.

I would define "glock killer" as a gun that either outperforms the glock or equals it at a better price... And the Walther PDP and the Canik Rival both do that.. They are true glock killers

And if you watch for sales, you could get a COMPLETE frame for $49.99 (like I did). Of course, tax and junk, and FFL xfer fee (I know a guy who does them for $20)...

Buy the frame and slide separately! Save 15% automatically. I bought my frame and an ar stripped lower for $100. Then, I caught a slide identical to yours for 199 on sale. So, I figure about $250 total, and it's now my EDC! I love it. I put a cheap Gowutar dot on it just to see how it stacked up with my Holosuns. Again, I'm impressed! Holds zero and long battery life! All together, less than $350, and I trust it, period!

I just purchased 3 Dagger frames and will build them the rest of the way out over time. I have 3 ladies in my life to get armed with their first 9mm's. There are enough options at PSA with slides and barrels so they can semi-customize the gun to their liking at an affordable price.

The savings over a glock with a cut slide for either a Docter or RMR is a lot more than 200$. If you take into account they sell the upper on sale for around 200$ and the lower for 50$. In my area a glock 19 gen 3 is around 530$; Then you have to have the slide cut.

I've purchased several firearms from PSA - I don't have a Dagger but if I needed a compact 9mm, I'd most likely get one... I've never seen a perfect handgun. They would have to have been custom manufactured for me - for my hands and eyes, etc. so.... Great review thanks!
