Tom Brokaw reports on the crash of PSA Flight 1771, the memorial service for the PSA employees aboard, and the stunning lack of security at LAX airport which allowed the crash to happen.
Thank you for uploading this. Notice how news coverage was in the 80s. The murderer was not glorified and his photo wasn't even shown on the news; rather, the emphasis in the story was on the victims.
They didn’t show David Burke’s photo because he was Black and the media wants people to think only white people could have done something like this. The truth is ANYONE can do it, Black, white, man, woman or anyone.
@@reving19 But the media seem to have no problems in showing Black faces in association with urban crimes and drug offenses. But you are right, reving 19, that a murder-suicide act can be accomplished by any person, regardless of sex, race, creed, or sexual orientation.
I used to work at an airport as a simple paging operator ("... to a White Courtesy phone") back in the early 80s and my badge got me to bypass security no problem.
I don’t understand why a former employee is targeting his former boss to commit that violent crime aboard an airplane. I mean… This happened long before the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Why would a former employee who stole this from an airplane have a grudge against his former boss?
