Yours is like the very first review of this gun, which is crazy. It's been out a little over a week, and this gun was highly anticipated, you'd think there would be dozens of reviews up by now. Super stoked about this gun
Removing the bottom 2 bolts isn’t necessary for removing the gas tube, only the top 4. In testing we were able to get a return to zero with just removing these top 4 bolts.
Yeah, you didn't pay attention to PSA when they announced this. 5.56, 300blk, and 7.62 were going to be first. They are making their own 5.45 ammo, so they have to ramp up production first. Personally, I'm waiting for that version. Since I already have a Jakl in 5.56.
@@SimplestUsernamevideo gamers who aren’t real consumers are a loud voice in the industry That round is not good for anything other than some kind of assassin rifle The ballistics make no sense for a general purpose rifle not even SBR truck gun
@@off6848 That's ridiculous. The Krink is a 8.4in barrel. At that barrel length your typical 300blk cartridge will deliver around 1,100 ft lb's of energy where as 556 will deliver around 700 ft lb's of energy and concuss you for good measure. Ballistic gel testing clearly supports this too.
Ak's aren't "designed" to run .300 blackout! More for the AR player. Due to the correct "Gassing" but 7.62x39 IS! and not much difference in ballistics due to both are .30 calibers. 7.62x39 Is designed from day 1 of the invention of the AK!
@@ElderBoob 🤣🤣 you’re not wrong no clue how I got lucky but I’ll take it! I always wanted one of those STG2000 was it? They were nice looking….who knows if they actually work tho lol probably need another unicorn. Lol
@@wareagle3651I have 7 cans myself I love the round but get sick opening up a can …7n6 is a fantastic round __I’ll probably buy a 5.56 Krink ..or the VUK
Awesome review. Looks very solid, curious how it runs after a few thousand. Currently waiting for the 5.45x39 version they talked about. That will be a insta buy for me :)
Exactly! 8.3"barrel is a nope ! I have an AR pistol with a 7.5" barrel...and velocity has left the chat! But 7.62x39 and .300 blackout are and can! + .300 ba is expensive to shoot!
@@MMRELOADED10 outside of center fire and rim fire; cartridges are designed for barrel lengths and twist rates, not gun platforms. Aside from speciality cartridges, 7.62x39 is designed for 16" barrels so it will shoot concussive Fireballs just like 5.56.where as 300blk is designed for 8-10in barrels.
I dont care what anyone says PSA is innovating while other companies are not... From the Jakl, micro dagger, and now this Krink... I own an AKP, AKV, and 2 ARs from PSA and haven't had any issues... For the prices of their guns and life time warranties you really cant beat it.
When you move the lever it sits in a little notch and you can see the marking right above the lever so you can see what position your in. I hope that made sense?
bit.ly/3VcCa7C. There's some pictures of when the levers are in place. Looks like they did it so you could see what position your in with the marking right above the lever?
IMO the psa aks make a nice range toy but personally i would never trust my life to it. Now their ARs on the other hand are great and i have nothing to complain about mine, in fact i would say i could trust it
I would trust my life with it.. I own an AKP with over 10k rounds not a single issue and also an AKP with about 7k rounds and no issues. Just dont buy their first gens until they work out the kinks, other than that for the price its quality.
Just got mine and I LOVE it. Can’t decide if I should SBR it or not. 1 thing I noticed, is your handguard retainer loose? Even with the lever down mine wobbles. Maybe bc the Jmac lower handguard isn’t pushing on it like a wood one would?
Probably not. I have some that will, some that wont (pouches that is). Its best to use an AK apecific magazine and the AK556 is very similar in size to an Ak74 magazine.
Check everyday at 5pm EST ive seen em in stock daily while they've out of stock other times.. Its when they update their in stock items. Goodluck, I checked for 3 days and got one.
Just out of curiosity. You explained the functionality of the booster on this gun, but have you checked to see if it’s a fake booster or if its true to the krinkov booster design. I’ve seen other krinkov style AKs on the market that don’t actually have a functional booster, only visual.
Cool gun, but not for me. I have never liked any SBR's or pistols with a barrel shorter than 12" chambered in 5.45 or 5.56. The rounds are optimized for higher velocities. If you want a shorty, get one chambered in a round designed for it.
Not sure why people get so exited when PSA comes out with a new gun. 99% of the time the guns are riddled with issues that PSA won’t fix until a newer generation comes out. Even then only some of the issues are fixed. People reviewing them having no basic mechanical understanding. Think I’ve seen 1 RU-vidr actually check head space on 1 after 1k rds and guess what? It was out..
Thats simply not true.. I bought an AKV first gen never had issues and it has over 10k rounds, also an AKP never had an issue.. Sounds like you dont own anything PSA or your comment would be different.
9mm +p that you can shoot out of an AK-v . Dies its job and mushrooms when target is hit!! Doing more damage than a 5.56 just pokes holes due to the short barrel!

5.56 due to the American caliber availability. Personally I'm waiting on a better ballistics from 7.62x39 out of that short barrel..Although I have a "Yugo Krink" Zastava zpap92..and I don't think PSA can touch the quality and 100yrs of making AK'S...I would love to someone to prove me wrong. And my "Yugo Krink" has a 10.3" barrel..2" more means better ballistics 😮
I can't speak on PSA mags. But you should be fine if you're using surplus 556 ak mags (circle 10, wbp, etc). 545 mags can work if you swap the follower, but in my experience, the juice isn't worth the squeeze.
This variant takes 556 ak mags. However with 545 mags you can swap the follower and that will work too. I've had varying results with 545 mags. (I don't own this psa firearm but I have a slr104ur so take this with a grain of salt.)
@@TheArmedScotsmanIf you know PSA the initial batch is fine. If demand is high they’ll try to keep up and push some out with issues, plus whatever initial issues. People complain, a few bad reviews come out, then PSA figures it out. I’ll pick mine up some time next year or whenever the buzz dies down.
