Shelters are instanced locations so you can't build anything that works over time. That part makes sense but at the same time it *should* be possible to track them even if they're offline.

@@SequentialGamerFallout haha i was more talking about reality as opposed to game physics. solar panels can be built and work in a shelter?? that makes no sense does it. but i can deffo make a cup of coffee in a shelter, the only thing stopping me is that there is no tap down there for water. . and you can't even put a fridge down there to put milk in. but yeah i'm more talking about reality of things we can do in real life. it would be nice to be able to do it in the shelter like we would be able to in real life. but solar panels work in a shelter, thats fine. so if anything they should take away thhe ability to build solar panels in a shelter to add a bit of logic to it.

Yeah, if I had FO1st it would've been a definite target for me. I really didn't expect to see this until a few seasons had passed, I guess the bugs made it unsuitable for the atom store.

My buddy got 1st just for this item last season. He wasn’t happy when it became available for gold. But I traveled to crater immediately.

@@petera1117 Understandable, I'd probably be upset too. I think that it would've taken a few seasons for the cryo freezer to be sold for gold if it wasn't for the bugs.

Yeah it's a bit more expensive now isn't it? But why 12 meats? It should only take 4 to make a mutant hound steak and you can only use one meat buff. Unless I've missed something!

@@SequentialGamerFallout you have 😂 there are 3 tiers now. The light version does use 4, the standard version uses 8, and the Tasty version uses 12. With all the mutation/perk multipliers in play, tasty versions give +213% melee damage.

Did I miss something in the video? It seemed that having a freezer in every camp and making sure to always have one actually active solved the problem.

@@SequentialGamerFallout even with all of that, you still got spoilage. Issue is if you try and server hop to get clear spot for your camp to spawn or maybe if you end up playing without ever spawning your camp due to blockage all your food will spoil. They really need to change that so anything put into it always has the non-spoil flag on it

@@2percentright Yeah, it puzzles me a bit too that they don't just stop spoilage altogether wtih a flag or something similar, but if you follow my tips then it should be almost impossible to not have a camp with a freezer active at all times.

Yeah, that's the annoying thing. I'd love to collect and display lots of things but the stash space is more important to me than a pretty camp.

You need to have finished the gold vault quest and you need a bit of rep with the raiders before you get the recipe. But it should be there.

@@SequentialGamerFallout ya im new to the game. Is gold vault quest the official quest name? Or is labeled as something else? There's that an getting to the creator itself were the raiders base is that i still need help with.. I know how to build representation for them, I'm already doing the raider daily for the water adventures were you kill the Murdock an turn in the meat 🍖. An the jamboree event also builds representation with the raiders too.. So ya just need someone to take me to the raiders main camp.. and that official quest name an how to get that quest too.

@@Splatz007 That quest is towards the end of the wastelanders questline. You need to meet Rosie near the ski lodge, you should get a radio broadcast if you move into the central plateau (it's known as the Savage Divide) that splits the east and west of the map. Follow her instructions and she'll eventually lead you to the gold vault quest. Don't worry too much about rushing it, just make sure to save up your treasury notes from events. You'll eventually get to it.

Normally you get no spoilage, but if your camp can't be placed or if you change to a camp without a cryo freezer then the game will count the items as being in your stash. Then they'll spoil.

It was a scoreboard prize from a couple of seasons ago. I don't recall it being on sale at the atom store.

Did you see the plan before? You need a small amount of reputation with them first. It's unfriendly IIRC, which should be easy to get.

Fridges reduce rot by 50%, the cryo fridge cancels all rot so your food preserves forever unless you get one of the issues I talked about in the video.

its ok i just bought it and no, raw flux cannot be store inside the freezer. What a bummer. I have to farm hardened mass glowing mass and high radiation fluid first to build my jet pack. Tnx for the reply.@@SequentialGamerFallout

No, it just stops it from rotting more.

If it said 100% better preservation or something like that you'd have double the length of time it takes to spoil, but luckily they said 100% spoilage rate reduction so we're lucky and it should be zero spoilage. Yeah, I had to think about it LOL.

It works fine as long as you keep the things I talked about in mind. Personally I'm a bit curious why the bugs happen, theoretically it should be easier to just disable rot altogether for things in the freezer, but I'd rather have this than not.
