That click is the rotating mod. Had the same thing on my EVL 34. Put a little string wax on it and it's never done it again (over a year). Stupid problem, but easy fix.
I appreciate the time that goes into the reviews. Nice to have someone with experience and a shop at his disposal for such content. When you adjust the draw stops from 90 to 80, it shortens the effective draw length. It's even apparent by your anchor point. Please consider adjusting the draw length module at that time too. Thanks!
I had a chance to set up and tune a PSE EVO XF 33 today. I noticed that the cables don't have separate floating yokes, but split yokes criss-cross routed through that plastic yoke separator due to this new design where they took away the limb tip yoke posts and moved them to the cams. I really like this design, because now you can actually yoke tune the cams again to get them to lean one way or the other.
I didn't know the S2 Cam didn't make that much difference of speed. That very last bit before you hit the wall on the draw looks like it would take some getting used to. Thanks for the review MFJJ!
I would appreciate it if you could measure the noise level of the different bows, because for a bowhunter it is of course important. Thank you a lot for your cool bow comparison- videos.
@@YoureSoVane cannot use washers but yes we used red threadlocker it was a quick fix but some of those rocket ships PSE make end up backing them out still from such force on the cams at the shot
@@zachlewis9451 Prime added tiny washers on my warranty cams. Made a big difference. I'm impressed that those bolts still walk out, though. I've also used super glue in a pinch and that worked pretty well.
@@YoureSoVane the alien head bolts pse used on my friends were all recessed and had to be flush with the cam. So we couldn't use the washers. They have both since switched to elite and mathews. This was before the new cam systems tho. When all they were making was speed bows.
Is the draw worth the extra 4-6 Ibo speed that you measured. I'm 30.5" so the S2 was looking the goods but from your vids looks to have only increased speed 4-6fps (shooting a 495gr arrow)
That clicking sound the last 4 draws? Was it mod screws loose? $1900 bow.... If manufacturer says use a press to change, I would use the press... lol do so at your own risk 😅 🙃. Thanks for the review.
I've never seen a bow increase in speed when going from 90% let off to 80%. It's always less or about the same. Thinking about it, why would it get faster? You're rotating the cam less with the lower let off, so the speed should decrease.
I think you may have essentially answered your own question. The higher the let off the more speed lag there is at the start of the shot as the cams roll over towards peak poundage. On that basis the same bow, set at exactly the same draw length but different let off between shots should potentially be slightly faster at the lower let off setting. The main point here is that they need to be adjusted so the draw length is exactly the same for each let off setting in order to compare. A bow can lose a slight amount of draw length when you lower the let off because the cams don't come over quite so far so, while you may slightly reduce the speed lag at the start of the shot for lower let off, the draw length travel is then slightly shorter which counteracts the speed advantage of the lower let off. Of course I could be talking out my a$$ as I'm no expert on the subject but as an example my Elite Remedy is about 4fps faster at 80% then 90% let off if I adjust the draw length setting longer by a 1/4" to compensate for the slight draw length change in dropping down to 80%. If I leave the draw length module setting the same the speeds are about the same but then the actual draw length is around a 1/4" shorter at 80% let off.
Podium Archery---Where the CHRONO is So SLOW... Ive seen a bunch of other vids where same bow and same arrow is getting 340 fps. This particular chrono is ALWAYS 10-15 fps slower than all other testers... maybe he has the only accurate chronology in the business? I know he certainly thinks so
Yes, those chronos "read slow" but they also match up with any speed calculators or archery programs for sight tapes. So are they really slow, or are the others reading fast? As long as its consistent throughout the bows that's all that really matters for his tests.
