As a previous ford owner, It’s very surprising to see how many issues these power trains have, and how little to almost no info on how to actually delete these pumps with all the different motors they affect there are. Sure, anyone can plug a hole, but everyone is left guessing what to do with the rest. Thought there would be more videos with proper instructions.
I understood that vac pump is to provide vacuum to the crankcase which is required because of the thin piston rings that are used on the new LT1 engine.
The LT1, which is in the corvettes and Camaros does not have a vacuum pump. The truck L83 and L86 have the mechanical vacuum pump seen in the video. You are probably thinking of the oil scavenging pump in the new LT2’s in the C8’s.
Where did you get the vacuum from for the brake booster after taking it off I have ran mine into the intake manifold but it drop the idle when coming to a stop
That what we did and it worked fine for us. You may have another problem going on but in any case if your a psi customer please call our tech line and we will help you out.
Hell it's cake job doing it outside of the truck I just did mine on my 2015 Silverado and I do not want to do it again if it fails I am bypassing biggest pain in the ass I'll say
