As a Physiotherapist, I can say with confidence that we all like to cause pain. The hippocratic path is do no harm. Not do not hurt😁. This is a great tool for self treatment (if/when it's the psoas causing the problems). Thanks for all the videos Mark!

And thus we come back to... Hey Mark, can you please make a video (series?) on a good cooldown program. Not sure if it matters or not but, one good for KB's and clubs?

I just got this in the mail today. I am very excited to use that this looks like a great tutorial thank you! I have been hunting over and dealing with a tight psoas for so long I really didn’t think you could possibly do anything to help it but I am so looking forward to some relief

Yeah, finally someone else is on board with me concerning self-help with their psoas. I have been a massage therapist for 19 years now, and the psoas work is the most difficult for clients to endure. The only thing, some people who need psoas release cannot have deep pressure in the areas due to IBS or diverticulitis (left side). The lower area will make you cry uncle, so teaching the client to breathe through the discomfort is key for sure. Great instructions and visuals Mark!!!

I used to have a lot of low back pain from lifting. Tried for a while to go at it directly with a lacrosse ball not knowing it was my psoas the whole time. Got one of these things last year and it was LIFE CHANGING.

Wow. I dislocated my knee nearly 20 years ago and still unconsciously put my weight down through my good leg most of the time. This may be beneficial for me and compliment my daily KB practice. Thank you!
@johnkenny6516

I used a peanut I got for my lower back last year turned on its end for this. To be honest though, using kettlebells in the manner you teach had really helped minimise any discomfort I get in lower back and psoas regions. My core strength is better due to kbs than anytime in the past 30 years since I was a 20 something.

I spent 30 minutes on this tool. Alternating every 10 minutes. Besides the immediate physical and mental clarity, I had very vivid dreams. (Hadn't had that in years.) Perhaps the muscle tension store some memories or vise versa. Good tool. Got it for a discount.

I had 3 Muay Thai fights in Thailand only starting to exercise doing so properly in my 40's. SO I would guess a very tight Psoas. What you talk about the massage therapist doing with their hands is exaclty what a lot of Thai trainers will do to you screaming Kaliman! It put me through the roof. You are right it sucked big time, but I felt great after. I just ordered a Pso-rite today. Thanks for the great review 🙏

After a lifetime of injury I lean forward. Standing straight feels as though I’m falling backwards. My quads have shortened and my glutes don’t engage. I found the Pso-lite on RU-vid and found a knock-off on Amazon that’s identical to my Physio’s Pso-lite. I paid $24.

Adjustable DIY version for about 5 Euro (if you have some dumbbell plates and some clamps). Go to a DIY store and buy a short wooden bar with the same diameter as a dumbbell bar (dumbbell bar is too wide, can’t get plates close enough together). In the middle of the bar put 1-3 dumbbell bar clamps (depending on the width you want the plates to be apart). Attach a dumbbell plates on each side and lock up with a clamp on each side. Because the width is adjustable, I think it’s more versatile.

Is this device ‘one size fits all’? Some advocate doing one side at a time to position in the optimum spot, but I would rather do it the way you demonstrate, if it doesn’t matter about the side to side positioning? Well done great video. Well, spoken and good enthusiasm. !

I dont know but pressing and messing up with the intestines can be risky, maybe for some people this works, how can I know if it is relevant for me? Back pain can have many different causes. In order to reach the psoas you need to go through the abs, fat, intestines (appendix!, colon! if you go to far down or something), arteries, oh and the nerves that come out of the lumbar spinal cord to left and right down to legs etc. I just tried it today first time and it feels odd, did not get any release or anything but my gut now is quite sore.This is not for everybody and doing it on your own could be potentially unhealthy, better to go to professional.

@@moneybags183 i only use it about once a week now when needed. I havent been as active since id had chronic SI joint pain. Which i found this to actually help but not cure it. The best way to use this is with one of the points at a time. Lay flat over one point on one side and move the leg on that side back and forth. This also has the benefit of making this one size fits all. Check out Pso-Rite's IG for videos on this.
