6 years later and yet another PSP has been saved! After replacing my motherboard, for whatever reason the left trigger button started doing exactly this type of problem (even though I bought the entire left button strip brand new a few weeks back), and I was starting to feel hopeless until I bumped to your video. Can't believe a simple piece of paper managed to fix all that lol. Thank you!!

Still saving PSPs in May 2021! I had to do a little bend (because i pinched it with my tweezers during a cleanse) and it also worked fine without paper. Thanks Mate!

The Trigger pad removal process lacks in-depth on how to seperate or remove (because it was its first time being disassembled) and I kinda ripped the rubber button a bit in the process. But it worked nonetheless. I didn't manaege to separate the pads but taking off the pad from the housing fixed the problem. Thanks!

Mine's a 3000 model, if the paper part didn't work for you, cuz there's no circle thing to cover with, just wipe it using ear buds with a dab of alcohol. Worked for me like a charm. best of luck with anyone with this godforsaken problem.

Does anybody knows how to fix the same trigger only with the Select button? I have the 2000 PSP.

My L trigger still clicking even i peel off the rubber though. Not sure if the circuit gone bad. Any ideas? Also, my analog constantly go to the left.
