Thanks for the comment and the good idea! I don’t currently have any bricked PSPs to work on, although I may be able to cobble one together, I do have a dodgy motherboard from the Anime 2000 build and I have enough spares to build a 2000 around that I think, I might have a screen that’s functional with just a couple dead pixels which would be fine for testing. Baryon Sweeper is a great tool to use and is very effective, however an alternative less invasive method is the Pandora battery and magic memory stick which if used correctly can also resurrect bricked psps in the same fashion for most cases. I do plan on doing an unbricking video at some point in 2024 but no eta yet, I’m current editing the last video for the year and then there are some home console videos coming out after that so I’ll see how I go and double check my stock to see if I can make an unbricking video, when I have a plan I’ll come back and reply again to this comment to keep you up to date :) thanks again for the sub and welcome to Everything PSP ❤️

Thanks Lucas, it sounds like the mobo could be bricked rather than a hardware fault it’s likely to be a software issue, you can reflash the rom with a magic memory stick and a Pandora battery or try using a Barton sweeper to get the to rom and reflash it.

What battery did you get? They vary widely in quality abs there are many fakes. I reccomend Ostent 1400mah

@@EverythingPSPOfficial its some random 3.6v 2400mah battery. The ostent was my first pick but i thought the higher mah the better. Ill try to get it and will tell you the results :) thanks man

Hmm it should do, the only difference is the wifi card I think. You can check mobo revision when you order them from ali express it gives you options of 'new style' and 'old style' or similar, I think series 90 vs 95 they call it, you can compare the shape and design of yours to their, probably by looking behind the battery will be able to see how the wifi card is laid out

You will need to purchase an aftermarket charger or use an USB to PSP charging cable. Any 5v 2000mA power supply will be suitable so long as you have the correct plug. Once you have some residual charge you can enable USB charge in the menu but to get it started it will need some juice to get going. USB port charging is not generally recommended as it is quite slow compared to the conventional charging method.

on no!!! did you rip the plug off the motherboard or just broke the charging part itself? The charging cable with the little socket is available on aliexpress and is a direct swap. If you have broken the plug off the motherboard itself then you just need to cut your power supply cable and solder to the 2 contact pads that are on the mobo, not a hard fix but you need to make sure you solder the correct wires as shown in the video black and red on those sides. Just strip back the wires a bit and solder onto those 2 square pads and you should be sweet!

Electrical schematic? I think there is a shop manual somewhere that shows the pinout for the mobo but I'll have to try and find it, wayback machine has some internal service manuals for the PSP buried somewhere
