Me too, this game was so cool when I was a small kid. Hope everyone who comes here has that nice warm nostalgia feeling. Even if home life was terrible, video games took that pain away.
LOL me 2 it was my 2 or 3rd game i think it was my game nr2 for sp1 Granturisimo1 was my first i bought with the console. damn i save my money Loon time to finaly buy it :D
@@GringoTensai it surely wasnt "incredibly easy" and I do not believe that you always finished it without losing a single life... however it probably wasnt "incredibly hard" either the hard part is the one starting at 37:00
I might remember wrong but when I look at this footage it doesnt look any harder than Rescue Rangers or Rush n attack for nes and I used to play those games with my eyes closed. @@ArminHaba
Yeah, unfortunately not everyone understands the amount of effort takes to make these kind of animations, bit one thing is for sure: they look pretty damn good
The Mad Doctor... That whole segment was so insanely long... I've only gotten to Moose Hunters twice in my entire life, I can't do this... Hat's off to you mad lads who completes this ~
I always loved how this game transitioned from black & white to color really shows how far mickey mouse has come, Steamboat Willie the first ever animation is 90 years old ! can you believe it.
When this game came out a classmate told me that Mickey was constantly looking at his watch because he was late to a date with Minnie and had to beat all those levels to arrive to her. I see now I was trolled!
I loved and I still love the atmosphere and the musics and sounds, but this game litteraly drived me mad as a child because we can't even save ! I once finished the game when I was 10, I don't even know how the F*** I did but I did it \o/ The prince and the pauper level was a real nightmare...
Even with some of the loading times compared to the original SNES and Genesis, this is hands-down my favourite version of Mickey Mania. And sorry Matt, but I also think this version truly has the best-sounding soundtrack. Heck, in my view, everything in it looks and sounds like a big improvement from the 16-bit and Sega CD versions (again, except maybe for some of the loading times).
I the mission steam boat willie, there is a secret platform with a door, if you fall short of the platform there is the texture of a walk way, its accessible but only ever went through once, this triggers the mad doctor level, when you walk through the tunnel with Pluto, it doesnt skip to the next level like useual, you walk back and the mad doctor is a baby mad doctor.
When I was 7 or 8yo I was really good on videogames. Back then I already finished Crash Bandicoot 3, Medievil, Resident evil 2, Final Fantasy VIII, several GT licenses, Metal Gear... Yet I couldn't ever finish this!
I’m 16 and this was my favourite game growing up and now that I think about it, the whole vibe of the 2nd stage is basically my aesthetic so this game must’ve seriously shaped me as a person
For some reason my PS1 version of this video game didn't have a save function, so I just had to do my best and not fail or else I'd have to start all over again.
One time, my sister was playing this game on the PlayStation, and while playing the first level I asked her to jump in the water, I kept insisting until she finally did, and laughed when she experienced what happened at 2:47 😂
I remember going as far as 36:10 when i was little (like 7/8 years old) after many many tries. When people think about a hard game, i never think about dark souls but about this one.
I remember my brother borrowed this from a friend for a week and we couldn’t get past that bloody tower in the second or third level. It was a really hard game!
Ah, my childhood memories. This was my very first PS1 game I ever played, and one of my earliest exposures to Mickey Mouse. In fact, I had 3 of the cartoons this game is based on: Moose hunters, Mickey and the Beanstalk and The Prince and the Pauper. Though this game existed in consoles before the PlayStation, this will always be my Mickey Mania.
@@TheRisingTide89 I know, but it's just that the first PlayStation is my very first game console. That's why this game meant so much to me as my very first game.
Pete? Uh...you okay? Dude, come on do something, you're weirding me out here. Take a slice at me or something. Turn to look at me. BLINK, DAMN IT! Pete was not animated well in the final battle. He appears to be the only misstep in this really good game
Always had this vivid memory of me playing some kind of mickey mouse game in 2005 at the back of my head! very awesome to know it wasnt a dream afterall.
28:15 This theme here it's something epic, btw you can hear this "echo" version only at the gameplay. The OST version is without it, ruining the "dark" feeling that the echo gives to it as well.
this game was my childhood. i loved it but i could never pass the haunted house level. downloaded the ISO and played it again after 10+ years, and i finally beat it!
I remember playing this game with my cousin because my fam couldn't afford to buy a console at that time when I want to play I gotta go to my cousin's house, and when I played Megaman my aunt surprised my cousin with this game that she just bought we are so happy and I just watched my cousin played this all day long, good times
Watching this as an adult wondering how young me figured out how to beat this given that everything looks like background and there was no googling back then! I always remember the colour mixing in the lab
