i never had Tenchu 2 but 1... and man this was so cool back then...

@@SugarRainer still really good compared with wrath heaven, I mean wrath of heaven was really good when you play it for the first time. but I still think Tenchu 1 and 2 are more difficult, challenging and fun compared with Tenchu 3. you barely get any healing items in tenchu 1 and 2 and you have to think twice before doing something. also there were so many interesting characters in the first two games, and Onikage looks really dumb in Tenchu 3, He was like Revolver Ocelot or The joker in Tenchu series

I am right there with you. I played this game and made levels within it when I was like 9, 10, 11. That nostalgic feeling isn't just this game, as you know. It's from that time. No smart phones, no corrupted, overmoderated internet advertisers paying the "bill", no suppression... we're in the middle of a power struggle... I remember being 8 years old and reading the review of this game on IGN before they became total sellouts to the same adverts later down the road (today)... And I went and bought this game and spent tens of hours playing it... This was before greed corrupted the video game industry...

Omino Jakoom find a backwards compatable PS3. You can play PS1, PS2, and obviously PS3 games on it. I just bought one recently and it was a great decision

+Mundane05 I wished they would have made another tenchu for pc and consoles to date. I think the recent tenchu game (shadow assassins? 2009?) didn't get the sales they hoped so they ditched it and moved on with different games whoever currently owns it. :3

You weren't stealthy enough

Mundane05 as of 2015 Activision (which owned the series for a bit) lost the trademark. Someone told me From Software currently has bought back the series within the past year, but I can't find an official source to confirm that. Although I did read it may be owned by a smaller developer called Aquire (who bought it from Activision) but I don't know if they still hold the rights either. Official info on the series whereabouts is hard to come by anymore. Shame this series fell into obscurity. Maybe one day it'll come back. Until then it's out there in the void of dead video game franchises, waiting to be resurrected, lying in a grave alongside the Legacy of Kain and Soul Reaver series.

Gonzalo Mellado hace una semana compre una consola ps1 y el problema es conseguir juegos. acabo de descargar tenchu 1 y 2 y ya los queme, ahora hay que jugar y recordar de este gran juego. cuando lo jugué tenía 12 y me lo vendieron por error creyendo un era otro juego y pues fue una sorpresa que me encantó a pesar de que tarde mucho en pasar el entrenamiento pero fue genial

@@DonkeyKong_1223 From Software was the publisher of Tenchu, finally they made Sekiro. In Sekiro you have a grappling hook and you can do stealth kills. But it's not as simple as Tenchu

The open ended level design was really cool. It was usually up to you to figure out the best way to reach your objective.

Wrath of Heaven had improved controls and better graphics but this game had a better story and characters. I wish we could take the best elements from each of the first three Tenchu games and make the ultimate Tenchu game.
