What I find funny about this, if you have never seen Twin Peaks, you are like the Psych characters, freaked out and not sure what is going on. But if you have seen Twin Peaks, you are like the townspeople, all of this makes perfect sense to you.
I disagree I thought this episode was hilarious and it’s one of my favorites yet I have never seen the Twin peaks. Or as I like to call it the prequel spin-off of a random psych episode.
I counted 11 references to Twin Peaks in just this scene: man from another place ("Let's rock"); Nadine eye patch; Cooper 1st coffee at Great Northern; The Giant "I will tell you 3 things"; Audrey's brother (football helmet banger); coffee tar like from black lodge; backwards walking; Audrey's dance by waitress; Barking from when Bobby was in Jail & so was James; woman doing sideways walk (Fire Walk with Me); Dana dancing/holding picture like Laura's father did . There may be more I missed...
After watching Twin Peaks this episode makes sooooooo much sense. EDIT: Just realized half the people in this episode played in Twin Peaks. Second Edit: At the end in the background you can see the dude who played Bobby in Twin Peaks dancing with a picture frame, Epic little gem, this is in reference to that one scene in Twin Peaks where the dude who plays Priest (the dead girls father) loses his mind and dances with a picture of his dead daughter.
Dude, they are dog aliens. All the people are aggressive, yet compassionate when one of their pack members die. Also, notice the jock talking to the dogs
@@diversitydeliverer7094 I know, but not having seen the show Twin Peaks before this episode, I didn’t know how many people were in both, until about a few months ago
@Ricky J Cruz never heard of a show called Twin Peaks I take it. This entire episode was one big reference to that show, right down to having actors from Twin Peaks guest star.
I have never seen a full episode of Twin Peaks, mostly because I keep hearing mixed about it, some people like the horror, the mystery and that it was actually inspired by a town not too far from Seattle that had it's own disturbing mysteries. While the complaints are about the pacing, the more artistic style that works better for movies instead of a TV show and that the show runners were forced to reveal the identity of the killer at the studio's insistence (supposedly if David Lynch had his way then they were going to drop the mystery story so they could go into the weird stuff full time, I saw that in a video so I don't know if David actually wanted to go that route). But regardless of that I love this episode, it has a great mystery, fantastic humour, some well written guest appearances from the actors who were on the show and has Julee Cruise performing the theme song. I want to know if David Lynch ever watched this episode just to find out his thoughts on it, because I doubt he would watch the episode of Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated which also had an episode that paid homage to Twin Peaks.
I litterally hit the play same moment. Lol. Forget the yin yang killer. Yes compelling. But with mary lost its fizzle. Last night gus, worthy of a tribute
