"Bad Guy" is apparently a nod to Bridgerton, where they regularly use contemporary music transformed into classical style. I haven't seen Bridgerton yet, but I picked that tidbit up from Who Culture's Easter Egg video.

Oh okay! I didn’t know that about Bridgerton either. I’ve only watched maybe half an episode of it even though my best friend is a big fan 😅

@@thestarsthemselves.I haven't seen the show, but I do have the soundtrack; they do indeed have modern songs played in a more classic style, its amazing

Not only a good reaction, but having done editing, I’ve got to compliment the editing out of music at certain bits also (unless you sneakily have the non Gold music edit!). That’s good effort, and I notice and appreciate it.

Thank you! And yes that wasn’t me 😅 There’s a RU-vidr here who provides unscored audio which has been very helpful!

Kylie was a companion for one ep, and lovely to see REG (4th face) canonized, will we see the Shalka Doctor in live action?

It was an ok episode it's very Doctor Whoy i liked Rogue as a character because we know absolutely nothing about him yet other than he's a bounty hunter my theory is he's a Time Lord. I loved the scene with the Doctor showing all the Doctor's old faces and i notice alot of reactors seem to overlook this there was another face in the hologram that wasn't a main Doctor after the heads were spinning around the doctor starting with David Tennant, Jodie Whittaker and William Hartnell the next face was Richard E. Grant the Shalka Doctor who was originally suppose to be the ninth incarnation from the 2003 bbc web animated Dr. Who episode "Scream of the Shalka" who was deemed decanonised by fandom since Christopher Eccleston was announced as the official ninth Doctor back in 2004 when it was announced the series was retunring after a 16 year absense. I do have a few disappointments i thought Indira Varma who played the Duchess was wasted and her character wasn't what people theorised it would be another Time Lord. I felt it was abit of get out of jail free card with Ruby and the earring that came out of nowhere and felt abit quick and lazy. I know this might be an unpoplular opinion with some people and it's fine i got nothing all all against homosexuals and i wouldn't care if there's a companion who was gay in "Dr. Who" my problem is with the Doctor having a romance kiss because for 61 years he was always considered an a-sexual character and i feel some of the writers humanise him far too much and takes away what makes the Doctor an interesting character a mystery, an enigma and very alien and i got no problem with the Doctor being angry and emotional but i feel his Doctor cries alot every episode and it's getting abit overboard now in my opinion. And i agree with you on the monsters they did look abit cheap and not very threatening looking there have been great monsters and there have been some garbage monsters. But other than that it was an ok episode not the greatest but ok.

I'm genuinely confused why so many people think the doctor is asexual? He has grandchildren, he got married like 5 times, even in the original series he had romantic interest in people?!

@@baozibang_TaliKpopAddict I've seen Classic Who over 1000 times over and I don't ever recall once a time when there was a romance with the Doctor even in "City of Death" with the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) once said to one of the villains "Well your a beautiful woman...probaly" which further states he's not interested in that kind of thing travelling in time and space and the adventure was his "romance" if you will but he was never interested in sexual relationships with his companions or female humans even Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker have said in old interviews that his character was a-sexual even former showrunner John Nathan-Turner wanted no hanky panky in the TARDIS there's the argument of Cameca from "The Aztecs" even though the First Doctor was fond of her he was in total shock about being forced in the marriage and wasn't interested in a relationship with her yes he had grandchildren and a gallifreyan wife back on Gallifrey but we never looked to deep into it and all that was taken place off-screen anyway and the marriages with River Song and Elizabeth I I always took that as a joke and not a serious marriage.

@@joshuajoshua2732 I honestly don't know about any background stuff about OG Who but that also never matters to me because I don't take what people say as "canon" only what's in the show. I have only seen old who a few times so I can't come up with specific instances but I came out of watching it with the expression he was quite fond of people sometimes. I was like 12 the first time I watched old who so it's not like I was looking for it, but that's the expression I got. Let's say he wasn't interested in romance in old who, new who is a clearly different story. I clearly remember that most people didn't have a problem with rose but rogue is apparently a different story? Which makes no sense. Even if we ignore that some people might have a problem with two men kissing on screen.... It's not like the relationship would be gay? Can any relationship the doctor is in be called straight or queer in general? The Doctor really doesn't have a defined gender. Sry might be swerving topics right now.

@@baozibang_TaliKpopAddict Because most actors playing the Doctor say that were playing them as asexual. In the Classic Series, the Doctor is a romantic, but never shows an interest in sex. The best way I found to describe the Doctor is that they're a romantic asexual. Also the Doctor isn't the grandfather of Susan, the Other is.
