What I love about how he made this series is how he wrote his character to always want to do the best for himself and others. Even if they’ve screwed him over. Like whenever Jeff gets in trouble for something he’s done to Jesse, Jesse still tries to defend him from any major punishment.

I was in middle school when this series came out. I was a Freshman in college when he ended it. And now I'm a fully grown man and I still come and rewatch this series. The acting is so good for amateurs, and for RU-vid. I didn't fully appreciate it in the moment because I didn't understand if it was real or not. I was always back and forth between "no way they're this good at acting" and "no way this is someone's real life". Which speaks volumes about how good they were at keeping this series a secret and making it as real as possible.
