As I'm sure someone else must have already suggested that you watch the stop making sense film. Even if you have to bust it up and not watch it all at once it's amazing if you haven't seen it you should.

So, what you really need to do now is to pull up these same songs in searches that also include the phrase "stop making sense." The Stop Making Sense Tour and Movie is one of the great events in rock & roll history, as a series of live videos, and I'm pretty sure most of it is available on RU-vid and doesn't generally get blocked.

I am grateful to have older sisters who introduced me to all sorts of weird music back in the day.

Tina Weymouth wrote the French part of the lyrics as she is half French on her mother's side. Her band Tom Tom Club is just as amazing as Talking Heads. Her bass playing is funky as it gets.

The definitive version of “Take Me to the River” was sung by Big Mouth Billy Bass. Nice video 👍

I first heard and saw them when they appeared on Saturday Night Live in the late '70s. For a new group, I immediately thought they had a lot going for them. I really like their take on Psycho Killer during their live "Stop Making Sense" video.
