Hugo Munsterberg was first to measure ability of workers and apply statistics to data, James Cattell pioneered individual differences and psycho metrics, Frederick Taylor began scientific management, and Lillian Gilbreth, whom the movie “cheaper by the dozen” was modeled after is considered the mother of IO Psychology. She was the first person to receive a PHD in IO Psychology and was heavily influential in developing it into what it is today.
