This song is how I was introduced to NF and he’s been my favourite artist since. He doesn’t have a bad song out there 💯 he is an amazing , passionate and Real artist 💯❤️
Same. I heard this song and instantly knew he was something special. I went back and started at the beginning and have followed ever since. Man is a musical genius! Best ever in my opinion.
Don’t need to apologize for the length of the videos! Stop all the time, we would love to watch your videos even if they were 40 minutes long. Keep it up!
Amazing reaction!!! Not many reactors catch the line "If God aint REAL...REAL isn't" So great job on that. Its such a deep line and one of my favorite lines ever from NF ❤️
NF has helped me thru alot of terrible times. I had to explain to my mother and husband to understand that he is aggressive but this is his therapy. He gives me confidence in speaking out about mental health. If I may suggest, stopping here and starting from his earlier work. In order :) He tells his story and how he is coping in each stage of his life. "I use music as medicine." (alot of people, I am sure, feel the same way) "You having even been in my book but you act like you read my pages." (I hear all the time from people, I didnt know until I experienced it.) "If God ain't real, real isn't." Amazing
To give you some perspective of my adoration of Nate. There are only two musicians that have had SUCH an impact on my life. I grew up with James Taylor (and, he STILL has such an impact on my life, and always will!). I'm "growing up" again with NF/Nate, and I hold them both equally in my heart for how they have changed my life. Not to mention ... showing my age! Bless them both.
I know this has already been said but thanks so much for making these songs and interpreting the lyrics. I absolutely love your interpretations of these songs you have absolutely helped me in ways that I could of never imagined!!
You face after the grenade reference 😂 gold. Ive listened to all of the major channels that do NF reactions, have for about 2-3 years. I think yours is my new favorite ❤️ thank you!
I just recently found your content and I'm absolutely hooked, I love hearing how you break down and interpret all of these songs!! (Just a side note, what headphones are you using?)
Another reactor made a good point for the whole plane scheme, like the plane being wrecked is symbolizing his mind and he's "high in the clouds" above everyone else. I hope this made sense!
You put out Such great content Doc!! Thank you, and it is a lot of fun watching a therapist being as blown away by NF’s lyrics as we are!! You may want to check out old school Nas and 2Pac, they are amazing as well with lyricism and social issues as well!
GREAT reaction and insight! There is a song of his where he mentions he can do this in his sleep, or something similar... I believe that was a link to this, him sleeping on the plane and writing a banger!!!
Really appreciate your reactions. It's nice hearing the perspective from someone who looks at it from an emotional and professional point of view. I'm sure alot of us here watching can relate, in saying we feel alot like the way NF portrays, and hearing you talk about it really helps. Thank you. Where bouts are you located? Im sure you're nowhere near MI but you'd be a great person to talk to as a therapist
Great reaction! He said he likes to rap competitive songs as well. He always has a few hype songs in each album. People are just lazy who say all he makes is sad songs. Some Hype only songs Destiny One hundred Returns- shouts out his oh lord song- “trash bag is full of my ashes” one of his best songs made Statement - homage to drake and eminem Know - homage to 21 pilots and eminem Notepad No excuses Options Layers Thats a joke Real- homage to lil wayne (feed me rappers or feed me beats) then he adds feed me both of them Motivated Turn the music up Intro song - Intro 2 song - he writes all the lyrics from his therapy session album on walls and shouts out his wake up song Grindin All I have- introduced you to him and his music
This is what NF is working towards. He's been steadily getting into a better headspace, you can see the evolution of both him as an artist and how he views himself as he drops records. Clouds the Mixtape is him REALLY in they cocky bag. I can't wait till he drops the real album.
You should definitely check out the artist "nothing, nowhere." His music helped me vent out so much hatred and so much trauma that I had internalized for so long that I genuinely think his music saved my life. A good start would be "barely bleeding" from his latest album, "Trauma Factory".
Thank you for your insight and for all the NF songs you have done thus far. In all honesty, you will not miss out on any of his work. Maybe consider doing the NF journey.
Great reaction, just found you channel today, and watched all the NF reactions. Keep it up. I know you’re getting close to Intro 3 which everyone is excited to see your reaction to that one, before you do it though do “Lost in the Moment” it’s a conversation with another character in NFs world, he calls him freedom. It’s pretty much freedom pleading with Nate to face his issues. In intro 3 Nate takes freedoms advice and faces the root of his issues. Keep up the good work! New subscriber here 👊🏼
I just love watching people react to Anna for the first time because he is absolutely amazing and that he's a Christian and that he can do it without cursing in this business in this day is something that is not bragged on enough and thank you for your reaction God bless
Nate talks about how he ' keeps it to himself ' at the end of SEARCH so it must be how busy his mind is on the inside 'cause this is the room where he sleeps' in his MANSION upstairs 'ex-planes' the upper room quite 'well'... DEEP ;)
Can I just say without sounding racist that it's really refreshing to see someone who looks and sounds like you appreciating good rap lyrics. I didn't know how you would react to this song because it really has nothing to do with therapy or self-betterment or anything like that, this is basically one of those tracks where he's showing off what he can do, but you still find things in it that can be applied to the average person's life and lead to success. Instead of just saying oh he's cocky on this song and there's not really a deeper message, you're applying it to healthy self-confidence and I love that about you. Your reactions are always therapeutic, inspirational, or both. Keep doing your thing.
Plane is his career. The inside is himself. There is no getting off. His beat bruised and coming from broken background but there is no stopping him now.
Hey Tom! Been enjoying your videos for quite a while now, and wanna request a song if possible bud, it's called Using again by Benjamin Todd.. and thank you for these videos man, they really help me as a depressed addict trying to find their way out
Nah bro. Nate never lets us off the hook. He just keeps upping the stress level. If there's any song that might give you a little breathing room it's "When I Grow Up". Another great reaction.
Ps. Tom, you've gotta watch the entire video's and let the songs play all of the way...cuz he does put little messages or things like that at the very end after people think it's over 😊😁
Just finding your videos on NF and I’m telling you, you HAVE to do Intro III. It’s one of my favorites psychologically. Nate personifies his depression/anxiety and argues with “him”. His depression/anxiety claims that “he’s” the reason Nate makes the music he does and gets into a heated fight with him. You won’t regret it!
Would love to see your reaction to suicideboys “the number you have dialed is not in service” or “5 grand at 8 to 1” love your reactions been dealing with most intense anxiety I’ve ever had the past couple weeks and your insite is very reassuring, thank you! Please don’t stop
You should react to "life's a dungeon" by JuiceWRLD! I think you'll really like the lyrics, there's alot of stuff in it to break down that isn't just filler lyrics (it's an unreleased song, so you'll only be able to find it on youtube). 'Clouds' and 'Paid my dues' are also really good ones by NF, some of his best songs imo
Another amazing reaction. I would love to see a reaction video to start over by flame featuring NF, its how I was introduced and I've been a fan of his since and that was back around 2015-2016
Hello, Dr. Stevens. My name is Jon, and I am a huge fan of you and your reactions, sir. Please, I encourage you to keep going. Because NF has such a huge following, and blends so well with your professional insight. NF has such a large portfolio of work. With your blessing, I would really like to send you some more suggestions to react to...Thank you for everything that you do, and I hope you have a good day.
I like that you apologize for stopping, but in reality you can pause as much as you want and we would still be here to watch. That’s how good it is, whether it’s 15 minutes or 45 minutes, I’m staying for the whole thing.
@12:09, EXACTLY 💯 I would never judge anyone, it's not my place to in the first place...but, I definitely know what it feels like to be judged by everyone!! So even if I didn't have the morals and values that I have ALWAYS cherished...I STILL WOULD NEVER PUT SOMEONE THROUGH THAT PAIN!!! #NFREALMUSIC💯🙏🥰🌹❤️
I'm 55 yrs young and I been around before The Sugarhill Gang. I've heard all types of underground Hip Hop Flows and Cadences. Nathan is Clean, Holsom, Fresh, Transparent, Thoughtful, I can go on, I've followed him since his Lps and Moments Album. We all have influences because of Genarations, Marshall is obviously Nathans inspiration ( as millions of others) but Nathan has put Blood, sweat and tears into his Destiny to be used of God in this Fashion through Mental Health and Realmusic from the Soul that reaches Millions of Spirits.
I never thought about the symbolizism of the plane before but I am thinking it represents his life journey that perhaps he had seen as a total wreck. But now he has woken up to the fact that every thing is ok. He will safely arrive at his destination. The two lines I most relate to are "You (God) gave me music as medicine" So true! God and music was how I got through my childhood. And "I stand out cause I wear my garbage!" Ditto! I grew up in a house of pretemders who cared more about looking good than being honost or doing the right thing. I don't ever want to live like that again which is why I fight so hard for my integrity!!
Stromae stems from a Belgian mother and a father from Ruanda (who he never really knew) His biggest hit to date (870 million views on YT!!!) Papaoutai (father where are you) is exactly about him not having his dad around. But I guess everybody be looking for reactions to his newest single l'enfer, (hell) 8m views in 4 days! . Just saying 🙂 Congratz on hitting those 40k
You should react to the song he did with Hopsin. It's really cool because Hopsin respected NF by not cursing on the track and it's Gold. The song is called Lost. I know you did Hopsin in the past and you've got a lot of Hopsin to look at. He's incredible as well.
Loving the journey! I know the journey always skips the song after this on the album, but when you get a chance, YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT OH LORD from Therapy Session. For people of faith, wow, that songs hits, and you will really enjoy it. #nfrealmusic
Just a suggestion but I think the song Yungeen Ace - Giving Up would be a really cool song for you to react to, I would like to hear your insight with regards to this particular song
When he says “what are you looking for a high five nice try” it’s cause when you’re falling off a ladder you have your hand at for help or to try to grab something which looks like you want a high five
6:11 a fun refference I've spotted is NF holding a chainsaw, probably inentionally tying into him being compared to Eminem, in Eminem's old days, he used to go out on scene in a hockey mask and holding a chainsaw Another thing is that girl sitting across from NF in the end is the same girl from Story and I think it might be intentional, I really wouldnt put it past NF... but it might just be a friend of his that he puts in the videos
NF lore says that he was flying home after meeting with record bigwigs and he was frustrated trying to navigate the music industry and getting angry that they wanted to change his style and image. So he wrote this on the plane and showed how lost and alone he was trying to figure out the music industry.
I love NF, and if you are looking for a lyricist on his level but in a different genre, check out Relient K. Here is a lyrical sample for you. So here I sit looking at the traffic lights The red extinguishes the hope the green ignites I want to run away I want to ditch my life 'Cause all of my mistakes keep me awake at night
Great video! If you ever check out NF-I’m Free album he has some awesome songs on there. I’ve Been There, Not the Same, Understand Me are my favorites from it
“I’m in Hip Hop’s hospital bed…I’m as ill as it gets.” He’s saying that there is no other rapper sicker - lingo for dope or hard or tougher - than him.
Being a psychotherapist yourself please react to Tom MacDonald. Two great songs to start with are withdrawals and balloons. NF reaction videos is how I discovered Tom MacDonald
So the whole judgment portion of this reaction I literally was yelling at the phone at a traffic light that this man gets it and the woman in the car to the right is just staring at me and I'm sure judging me LOL that I'm some sort of crazy man LOL. Nonetheless no truer words have ever been spoken sir well done you are so right excellent reaction
Thinking about it. Him dreaming the whole thing is ironic because, nothing he did while he was dreaming was “real” persay. He merely created this imaginative world, In his head.
You need to react to Immortal Technique - Dance with the Devil... there is animated version of it and it's truly dark and hard to listen too. The song is incredibly dark and shows how poverty, reputation and ego can drive a man too do such things
