not that him being unable to understand how to enter the pipe to exit the level, after having already discovered how to look left is less concerning...
(SO SORRY ABOUT REVERSING THE FAMILY FRIENDLY/NORMAL VERSION D: it's fixed nowwwww) What do you call it when you invite over a bunch of crows but none show up? An attempted murder 🤓
Lmao i am mildly confused. Tho i have noticed smth is off lol. The chapters are messed up and the outro is 70% of the vid lmao Edit: just read more and underatand. Pg and unfiltered were swapped
At first the PG version was the one available to us, with the link in the description to the normal version. It has been fixed now so the one that you are watching if reading this comment is unfiltered.
For Nintendo knowing the glitched levels, I’m assuming they have there own download button for levels that get flagged for glitches. Which is probably why they took out the download in level editor option. You can see the glitches and replicate them for yourself
@ 21:00 (leaky pipe) So when are we getting an anti-softlock where you have to jump out of a clear pipe but you have to time the power-up manually? Bonus points if you are getting bounced around while trying to do it and/or you have to time the jump out properly or you somehow gets bounced back through one-ways into the area you started.
this video is giving me the good old vibe from carl golden era where it was just a bunch of crazy uno mas and weird trolls levels after levels for hours during smm1. soo good
its the small things that count, like the coin count not going up, opening a key door without a key, and bouncing off of nothing that make the details of psycrow so good
These will be very good setups for troll levels. That pow block throw for example, if you put that in a convoluted level and this is the final move or it brings you back to CP0. The player will never know how to finish the level if he doesn't know the tech.
I don't play mario maker but I watch a ton. For the coin level around 30:37, it is impossible for a player to clear from CP because they will always get the first red coin before touching the CP. But I believe in the clear check the game spawns ypu fresh in at the CP so the first red coin would be there so the creator can walk back from CP, get first red coin and clear the stage. So it is ONLY possible from a clear check/creator CP, a normal player could never finish the stage from CP. Also this is allowed because of the red coin floating out of bounds and the clear con being AT LEAST not ALL coins. But that's just a game theory ;)
That first level, Carl shinies now have the power to delete blocks from existence. Carl will never be able to get a shiny ever again, they've brown too powerful. 4:30 Wait, Carl just bounced on something there- 11:24 Yo frame perfect death!
A very similar thing happened to someone once with a Mario 3 level. Sadly, they’ve since taken down the video and I only have a screen recording of it.
You made me remember that content creators used to waste 2+ hours on a complete garbage levels in smm1 and it was super fun to watch. (I think thab cleared a level like this a few months ago)
Nintendo must have a way of doing the level editor option for created levels only for them. It's very deep thinking but there had to be a specific reason they do this but I'm not sure if it's right. So we're they getting too many complaints in maker 1 about levels? Mario is stuck in a pipe.
Nah. As amazing as Nintendo is at *making* games and pioneering hardware... The rest of the company is crap. They *hate* it when players have fun any way other than what was Nintended.
21:18 Going frame by frame (on youtube, these are probably not accurate game frames) this is what I see: small mario runs off edge at cloud (frame 1) -> hits powerups/something else (?) and enters pipe (frame 2-3) -> becomes fireball mario (f4-6) -> takes damage (f7-9) -> fireball again (f10-12) -> takes damage (f13-15) -> fireball a third time (f16-18) -> THEN begins to move in pipe (f19-24) -> halfway along pipe magic (?) happens and he's on top -> throws pow and ends level normally. Edit: AAAAAAND moments later he goes and makes it. LOL. serves me right for being so dumbfounded I stopped the vid to try and figure it out on my own. There's no damage. There's no extra item or flowers. What looks like damage is just the flashing transformation animation. And the whole settup is just JANK. Nice.
On that last level, the bongos / drums that play with the music when you're normally on Yoshi are playing even though you're not on Yoshi, unless they always play in Mario Maker 2 and I'm just unaware.
in programming often times even if something hasn't gone wrong we create logs recording certain information, so for example if an object in a level exceeds a certain velocity that might get logged, and if that only happens 1% of the time a player plays a level, that level would probably be fine, but if a level always has that in its logs then you could consider that level to be more likely to have a glitch involved. That's just 1 metric, but I would imagine that things that cause errors with collision and spawns would also be recorded. Given that information, you could create a system that scores levels on how likely they are to use glitches which could then be used to either automatically remove levels or reduce the number of levels that need to be manually reviewed. This is obviously just a guess, but that's one way that Nintendo might be getting rid of levels using glitches
Nintendo: "Welcome to Mario Maker, where you can make really cool and creative Mario levels!" Psycrow: *Makes cool and creative Mario levels* Nintendo: "Not like that. >=(" *Ban*
For how Nintendo knows, they probably get a lot of each play through and have keywords for certain types of errors and how frequently they turn up. From that they can determine if a glitch is being abused.
I don't have the game, but in regards to the pipe clipping glitch when throwing an item; If you do the glitch with builder suit and then get stuck in pipe can you throw boxes still? And is there anything weird that happens if you do?
