She did. She chose this over being the girlfriend of Deadpool. She doesnt want to be a damsel in distress but rather a badass character that's why she went as being Psylocke. And she did justice to the character because she really wanted this role

I thought she looked like an idiot most of the movie, and her acting was abysmal. Her hotness was the only pleasant thing about it. Just me

She loves that fuckin character and as a fellow nerd, I think she did her justice. Olivia Munn is just straight cool.

Fun fact : she asked the costume designer on set to re do the original costume as it wasn’t very Psylocke due to lack of colors that Psylocke is normally known for .

She made it Harmless. She didnt wanted to cut beast head immediatly. Notice that she was having fun, playing with him. She wanted slowly cut his head. Thats why she pull the second wip, but beast attack her before she could do anything!

I agree, she was fantastic! I don't think that people had a problem with Olivia Munn specifically, it's the fact that she had so little screen time, it just felt like a waste of a great actress.

I think it's not really the same, psylocke was more of ninja type... and her power including telepathy, which Thena didn't posses....she also can use psionic energy to disintegrate her opponents

Tbch I don't care about CGI quality in films too much, but X-Men: Apocalypse is a fundamentally poorly-done movie. It has it's moments but overall it's kinda disappointing (might be a bit biased bc Apocalypse is one of my favorite villains in the comics and the way they did him is just god-awful, they got his personality and basic power-set right, but everything else not so much. I'm willing to give his actor props for his performance though, but Magneto and Quicksilver really carried that movie)
