i am a Muslim in Africa and i have never eaten Beef Its not forbidden for us but its not Even part of our culture We eat Camel, Goat, Sheep, Chicken and fish As a Muslim i follow the teachings of my Beloved Prophet and i never heard of him eating Cow He Adviced the drinking of its Milk but Said Eating its Meat is not Good So i dont know why all this issue My Advice to my Muslim Brothers is *Eat of the other Creations of Allah and Respect the Believes of those you live with* Assalamu Alaikum

If you love to eat, eat it, but dnt eat it if ur dwelling with a community which holds that such acts is impure and illegal. .and stood against their beliefs. I love beef but i dnt eat or even think about eating it when im along with a community which dnt eat it.. Thats called respecting other's beliefs and traditions.. i have the liberty and the freedom to take or drink what ever i wanted to.... But i also have the liberty to adjust to others customs and traditions..of the majorities in noncontradictory way...

It is not about freedom of eating anything you wish. It is about brotherhood and unity between people of different Beliefs. Beef eating is prohibeted for hindus not for muslims. But these people are respecting other's beliefs and even protecting the cows. Hats off to you guys. We need these kind of people on both sides.

On being asked whose meat it should be, he answers ‘Uksha’. ‘Uksha’ is used for an ox, which is capable to produce semen. · The book ‘The History and Culture of the Indian People’, published by Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, Bombay and edited by renowned historian R.C.Majumdar (Vol.2, page 578) says: “this is said in the Mahabharat that King Rantidev used to kill two thousand other animals in addition to two thousand cows daily in order to give their meat in charity”. It seems a great majority of the followers of Hinduism are not in contact with their religious scriptures thus falling an easy prey to the fascist forces like the Sangh Parivar who have nothing to offer to the Indian society save hatred. This shows its all about personal choice, beliefs and love.These Muslims have same love for Cows as many Hindus.Many Hindus don't have any concerns for Cows.Its a matter of beliefs.You can't force everyone to believe your beliefs.India is secular,it can ban illegal cow Slaughtering but can't take away right to choose what to eat.If you want to force your choice and beliefs on others,then India is not Secular.

Cow is a sacred animal for Hindus and a ban on cow slaughter is totally understandable, but would someone tell me why there is a ban on bull slaughtering as well. It is bad to kill any animal for your needs but there is no other way. In this increasingly mechanised world there is no role for bulls other than to impregnate cows , for which a very few are enough in a village. A cow is impregenated every once in a while to produce an offspring and hence milk. If new born baby is a female, it is a good thing for the owner, but if it is a male , it will be a burden on the limited resources he has. What is the incentive the owner has to care for the baby bull from its birth till its death. Nothing, He probably already has bulls to cultivate his land or may be he has a tractor. What is he to do with this bull. In a year or two , the cow has to be impregnated again to produce an offspring and make sure continuous milk supply. If unfortunately the cow gives birth to a baby bull again, now he has two unproductive animals. He can't take care and provide for them till the time of their natural death. He has got limilted supply of grass and other resources. Fortunately, there is a way he can get rid of these unproductive bulls and even make a little money for himself. It might be hard to swallow but these bulls would be slaughtered for beef. Isn't it a terrible thing to do? Killing animals for food? ,but don't we kill chicken and goats? I mean they too provide us with eggs, milk and wool. Ask a Gaddi from Himachal how indespensable goats are for his survival. That's a sacred animal for him , but he has to sell off his goats to make a living. If killing an animal is bad let's just stop eating meat altogether. For eating meat we would have to kill an animal first, which is a terrible thing to do. It is easy for us to support beef ban while we are comfortably sitting in our beds and couches , but ask a farmer from Vidarbha whether he supports beef ban, where people sometimes don't have enough water for themselves let alone for their cattle, where crops fail too often and farmers have no other way to suppport themselves than to sell their bulls and now after beef ban even that's not an option. I will support beef ban only when the government gives money and resources to these farmers for taking care of their ever increasing numbers of bulls. Farmers need cows to have offsprings so that they can have milk and this means adding new animals. It's a vicious cycle. Why can't we have cows that could give us an endless supply of milk without having them impregnated every now and then. Or let's just stop drinking milk altogether.

The animals also have a right to life as much as we have. Not only cows but also other animals. As human is a evolved animal should consider other animals rights also. We people speak about equality, right to life ,the same applies to animals also. But practically it not possible so the animals which are rised only for the purpose of meet is allowed to kill. Same time the animals which are for the purpose of milk should not be killed.
