African student in India... Almost cried at the end... The 68 people that disliked this video must be blind. I must visit the Siddis before I complete my studies here.
@@ssachdeva31 ….. to some Indians, going abroad to university, is sort of a prestige…..the one thing, that most Indians are not aware that some of these universities are mediocre, and don’t live up to the standards of Indian education…… if the parents would educate themselves about the low standard of US education, they would save a lot of money…… most Americans don’t know basic math, science, history, geography and Literature….. hope that gives a clear understanding…..🙂⁉️⁉️⁉️🇺🇸
Being a Goan living in US the cooking style of the Siddi's reminds me of Goa. Really miss my home cooked Goan food prepared by my Mom. Siddi's speaking Konkani language brought a smile to my face. God bless the Siddi's..
Whoever Started This Channel , i have no words for them..the entire team is working great...Today's Third Class Media.Tv shows, bollywood..have nothing in front of you....You gave us so many reason to proud and feel the reality of our india....a whole new system you have of awareness and entertainment in your videos...my all wishes to your entire team for your great efforts...
Darth Vader I feel so bad that these guys put in so much hard work to provide quality videos, yet neither the subscriber no. nor views per video matches there talent and hard work
Babbar Sher the siddi wasn't left no where, they weren't brought by no Portuguese, that's what we're telling them . They were never slaves, but let them believe it
@Naman: These people who takes pleasure in disliking such beautiful videos are those people who are good for nothing, who defames our country and who creates ruckus everywhere!
This brought tears in my eyes , india has accepted parsees, Arabians , and many from neighbouring countries but it's sad to know we have not accepted these lovely African people( just bcoz they are black?) who speak indian languages instead of African language ! V sad ! God bless them , I pray God that they should represent India for olympics 💪💪
Rekha K, in my opinion not all Africans are good in sports. It depends on the diet, the lifestyle and the particular genes. They are more Indian than they are africans. They performed well not beacuse they are from Africa but the fact that they had rural lifestyle also adds to their strength than most people.
Have you seen Kannada movies? There is a popular comedy actor called Prashanth Siddi and have you seen a reality show of Kannada? Most of the participant are siddis show: www.hotstar.com/tv/halli-hyda/s-271 total of 3 seasons and other reality shows... And people of Karnataka love them.
Who the hell said they are not accepted or given opportunists..?? .I leave in a place just around 60km and I have faced them in kabaddi and running at District level.. They are popular and the favourites in both the areas... This is why I hate these sick leftist and Communists who try to spread hatred and divide people in every possible way..
Who said they are not treated well?? Just because they leave in forests you think they are ignored?? My dear friend that is Western ghat. You will find even brahmin families isolated on these forests.. Please educate yourself..
Chef Karan You are an awesome guy and bringing our culture and people closer to us. Thank you.... I enjoyed all the videos and specially the Siddis.... the red ant chutney....
Just WOW... India have caucasians in J&K and Himachal, Dravidians in the south, Mongoloids in the north-east(where I'm from) Aryans in the rest Only afro was missing...but wait they are there too... A true amalgamation of the entire world's races... Thanks for the video Karan. Let's first try to seek the human within...then racism would cease to exist.
@Knee the negro You don't know what a Caucasian is do you? Caucasian does not mean white, in fact not all whites are technically Caucasian. Caucasian means "one who has an origin, ancient or modern, in the Caucasus region of Central Asia". So Aryans were Caucasian and some modern-day Indians are partly Caucasian (still having a Caucasoid skull shape, but race is not biologically proven true)
It’s 2019, I am sitting in my apartment in NYC and I just watched this video. Everything about it just seemed so authentic and the vibe was so pleasant that I had to subscribe to this channel. I can’t wait to see more!
Absolutely amazing and heart warming! I've never heard of the Siddi, but I sure hope to see more of them. I can only imagine the history, but thank you for bringing just a small part to those of us greatly interested.
I think you deserve a salute and these people deserve their basic human rights. India is incredible when it comes to hiprocrocy. When something bad happens to us it's is bad, but when same thing happens to someone else it's suddenly good for everyone. We need to grow as humans moveroever anything. These people do deserve be respected and should be given rights of basic citizenship.🙏🙏
As a Goan I and my parents Never knew about that People of African origin living in Karnataka and spoking Konkani same as as in Goa.This channel is truly making me know more about my country. Thank you 😍
Absolutely amazing video, well done, Karan and the team!! Maybe you could also try visiting the Todars tribal in the Nilgiris too, might be interesting to know how their cuisine is.....
Cujo okekee U clearly don't know anything if you really believe white people populated the entire Earth with Black people. The trans Atlantic slave trade is a myth bruh. A hoax
I see a lot of comments saying the government needs to help them. Frankly, I think they are better off than us regular city people and the government/companies and 'modern' society need to leave them alone. Concrete jungles and indoor plumbing are not 'progress'.
I love the Siddis. Had never heard of them before. But it’s nice knowing they are a part of us. I was surprised hearing them speak Konkani. Well I’m from Goa, but could understand the Mangalorean Konkani they spoke. Love them. Thank you so much, it’s because of you many people know them now.
Karan Thakkar is the most optimistic , and colourful identity of this documentation. he puts such a nostalgic flavour of a humanism and depth of professionalism, that it help each and every viewers to sick keynotes on Indian African siddi community ... chef you have done a great job ..
Amazing cinematography and great host! Thanks guys for all the effort you put into enlightening us about this wonderful community I had no clue about until now!!!! Love to the Siddis!!!❤❤❤
this is the best thing I am watching today..the narration ,the background score ,the video and above all the beautiful tribe of such wonderful people just made my day!!
Is 101 a news channel? Seriously this is the first Indian I really like and appreciate , I don't know why is not popular, it should get more view and must be popular in main Media
I am from Ethiopia. I came to know them through one Prof. from Bombay while we were in train . I am in Assam and went to Goa for visit . I am not sure how much Indians and Africans themselves know this Siddi Community !
Thank you for this documentary. There are major tribes in Arunachal Pradesh as well, who have flourished from Bangladesh and has no recognition. They live the same lifestyle as them. So natural and so raw.
One of the best indian youtube channel i have ever seen. Well this is far better than those shitty prank videos. I hope to see you in 1million subscriber. Keep on uploading such beautiful travel diaries/documentary. There are lots of such lovely amazing community in india. carry on ☺
Guys maharashtrian konkani has marathi tone, Goan has Goan tone, Karnataka has Kannada... Konkani is same it just we sound so different from each other but words are so similar.. and I am maharashtra konkani 😬😬😬
101 india a big salute to you people for showing us the life of siddies. this kind of programs should really broadcast in the t.v and we should support them by showing their hospitality and good mind to public....hats off 101 india....
Since I came across the Siddis ( a historically displaced people ) on the internet my heart has gone out to them. I believe that their community will not stay suppressed forever .Your resilience in such a discriminatory society is indeed more than admirable.
It's so nice to learn about Siddis that they exists in India since the past centuries and have been traditionally, culturally living unique life. Hope the Government do recognized and bring change for the upliftment of the community.
I have just found this channel. Very educational and enlightening. I will be sharing this videos with family and friends who too, are not aware of the Siddis. I applaud you and your channel to highlighting these peoples plight to be recognised as Indians. I am from the Caribbean of Indian heritage but currently residing in UK. I have just visited the Gambia in Africa my next trip to India hopefully.
I would love to visit the Siddis community. I have Indian ancestry but my family has been in Africa for many generations. We could exchange many opposite stories!
