best post basics hell week was NYs MP team of SFC Nardone, SFC Meyers, MSG Cady, Etc etc and nauseum. they're the best to learn from as a pup & as advanced, I still am humbled when around them (RIP, UWR)
Learned my "common sense" and "it's never personal" from Sgt Lippi, Msg Graham, Sgt Alese, SSG Massimo (never go full Massimo), Sgt Lopez .. how I got "Master" while these names are still teaching is beyond me. they're the real masters, I just am nerdy enough to look stuff up and yell it 😂🫠 thanks for the humbling when I needed it (you too Smitty, Tanto, etc.)
firing from the hip, when to, why, and shooting the angles (moving through doorways)
learning multiple tactics, even if outdated, is how you figure out your best methods for what to retain. then you build your own system, it's that simple.
Being the best just means you know when to duck. I'm not the best, I'm not a tier guy. I'm just a nerd who plans for the worst, and it turns out the best because of it. I take away the variables, and I hide in plain site.
people see what you want them to. people don't see you, they see your dog. people don't see your weapon if your shirts open & flowing, no one would expect it. be mindful but hide in plain site even when not trying to. make it your mindset
Learned my initial mindset from SFC scientific fighting concepts. that was the best idea, take everything & break it into a science. you can live a fight in slow motion.
always shoot doubles. it's advanced but it's so simple. you make Marksmanship your subconscious thought instead of your primary thought.
