First meeting as aspiring young actors at California's Pasadena Playhouse in 1956, Gene Hackman and Dustin Hoffman would venture to New York, room together during lean times, then individually go on to become two of the most respected performers in cinema history. Oddly enough however, they'd never work together in film for decades till 2003's John Grisham adaptation RUNAWAY JURY.
We celebrate the lifelong friendship of the acting titans with a double-shot reminiscence including (in Pt. 1) their respective comments during individual appearances on TV's INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO, then (in Pt. 2), the duo's behind-the-scenes rehearsal and performance of their first (and to date ONLY) on screen pairing - as opposing lawyers in RUNAWAY JURY's key character confrontation sequence.
