These are a must for heavy equipment mechanics and aviation, dealing with tiny spaces where your fingers won't fit. And maybe compact cars also because they fit everything inside the hood like a jigsaw puzzle.
Though they may not work with deep or mid length sockets, they will be just what the doctor ordered with shallows. It is rare that any form of assistance is needed when installing a nut on a long stud. Some deep and mid length sockets have a shallow broach with a shelf that helps in that situation. PT has some great tools and some that are not so great. They are similar to Titan. Thanks for sharing Jeff! Hopefully the weather is good up you way! Some thunderstorms passed through down here.
@mlieser1230 I have that set and never use them because with automotive the vast majority of bolts are shoulder bolts ... spend your money on a magnetic socket set imo
@@jefftovani5535I think a video if not 2 or 3 videos. Show us you road pack. Essentials vs what's nice to have. Maybe a bare minimum road pack. Thanks Jeff.
I have a tool you might find interesting, these Signet 11547 (1/4”) and 12547 (3/8”) swiveling breaker bar/ T-bars, the drive square can swivel around the length of the bar.
Those look pretty good. Cheaper than the koken nut-grips for sure. I definitely want to see the follow and how they survive (or not) being used. Thanks!
Got another version of these for several years, like you said jeff, know go with deep sockets and another thing to keep in mind is some bolts depending on what its made of sometimes arent magnetic, such as aluminum etc, great vid jeff keep em coming...their is a time they come in handy, like most tools they seldom all work for every task.
I've been eye balling several different sets. I found one on Amazon that is magnetic swivels that push in to just short extensions. The name is Conquer for $31, thet also have a 1/4" set of swivel sockets for $31. But I think I'm liking a sunnex set 1/4" impact magnetic swivels for $113.
I picked up this set thinking that it would be really handy but honestly I haven't needed to use it yet. If I need it tho I got it LOL. Thanks for sharing Jeff.
Nice! I have some of those. Like u said pt is hit and miss sometimes. With these sometimes my shallow socket is too deep and the magnet wont engage on a flanged hex bolt anyway. If i ain't flanged then it's fine. I like that koken nut grip design but magnetic sockets or extensions are good too!
I think Conquer has a set of those, but they're a locking swivel design. It's not really something I'd buy, just interesting the different ways of making things companies try.
Never seen anything like these. Wonder if anyone thought about building that into the ratchet itself? But I guess for all my titanium bolts, I'll have to stick to the chewed bubble gum in the socket trick...
I remember seeing a set like that on eBay but it's came with different lengths for each drive size. It was made by gear wrench. Thanks for the video I was wondering if it was just a gimmick or do the have a place in my toolbox
Not the greatest thing going, but for under $22.00 its worth buying the set. Even if you only use them once or twice.... ever. I see you pinned the comment about them not working on deep or mids... I guess people just don't listen. Nice work, as always Jeff.
I really like this set this is something I have to get out of curiosity I was using my gearless screwdriver and I told you about them I was wondering if you ever bought one do you have a great day partner
ML TOOLS,black and white gearless screwdriver? its on my list,i never bought it yet!! it does look iteresting!! will get to it!! Randy i never forget,i write all suggestions down!! the problem is a have 200 items on the list, lol!! im in it for the long run,i will get to them!! thanks Randy!!
Just did,no go!! so its limited what you can use it on! mostly just bolts!! no deep sockets, mid length socket,or flanged bolts or nuts!! i thought nuts would work but the magnet doest grip a plain nut good!!
