I NEED a part 2! This is brilliant!

I should have time in the next month to create this... I was hoping Bluetti would provide a direct integration, but they haven't...

Would love to get HA up and running in the future. Another great video. Looking forward to the next one on this topic.

Takes some time to setup, but HA becomes addicting when you realize everything you can do with it!

Great. I don’t have a Bluetti but I have an Ecoflow. Last month ecoflow closed the local Wi-Fi port on all the batteries and we lost the home assistant integration. However, your video gave me the idea of using the ecoflow Bluetooth for the integration. Without home assistant this type of batteries are dumb as a brick. Thanks

Thank you for this video, I had lost hope in turning on the T500 at low battery percentage on my AC300 until I saw this. I have H A, and the broker running, the Bluetti log is full of data. Need to learn how to create dashboards and automations from that data. Looking forward to part two of this video series. Thanks again.

Thank you Justice. I had hoped that Bluetti would help with a direct integration into Home Assistant, which is why I haven't done the second video yet... however, I this seems to be something that will not happen. I will set focus on getting the second video up soon.

Excellent presentation. I got it up and running in HA core. I assume you are using Home Assistant core. With HAOS Home Assistant Operating System one cannot use Python or PIP. I am trying to have a standalone NUC with HAOS - which gives me access to add-ons but not Python. Can you clarify?

Very interesting, thanks. Do you know if the AC200Max also supports the MQTT service? Thx. OK, answered it myself, looks like AC200Max also has MQTT. Cool.

Should be any Bluetti device that supports Bluetooth. Keep me in the loop about the AC200Max... I don't have one to test and I would be interested to see if it works for you.

I can't figure it out. I want to run this from my laptop. How did you make or get that layout in what program. How do I get a free local MQTT? which? And how to set it up in windows? Using AC200max here. (I did a reverse engineer log, but with 100% nowhere to be found?) help me setup on windows easy.
@MyBluetti
@MyBluetti Год назад
The layout is in a program called "Home Assistant". In Home Assistant you can install a MQTT Broker which will receive the data from your Bluetti Power Station.

You had a pop up mention the next video would be a MQTT Broker, but I don't see it. Did it not get made?
@MyBluetti
@MyBluetti Год назад
Hi Savior - The second video has not been done yet, as I was hoping that Bluetti would help us to make the process easier... which would have made the second video invalid. However they have not worked with us as we had hoped and I will get the second video done soon.

This was really helpful. Thanks for putting this together. I am stuck at the broker username and password. I tried to do some research, but it's not very clear. Do you have any recommendations on what to use?
@MyBluetti
@MyBluetti Год назад
Hi Cortney - The broker username and password is for "where you want to send the bluetti data". For example, in my environment I have Home Assistant with a MQTT Broker service installed. This MQTT Broker service running in Home Assistant will store my Bluetti data and requires a username/password to connect to it. This means that the username/password input variables for the bluetti-mqtt app is used by the bluetti-mqtt app to make a connection to the Home Assistant's MQTT Broker service to send the data to. I will be creating the second part to this video. My only delay is the hope that it will become natively available in Home Assistant without custom configuration... However in the meantime, don't hesitate to go to my website www.MyBluetti.com and send me chat with your contact information and I can work with you to get you setup.

I'm not sure how else to get in touch with you so i will try here... I have been using the functionality within HA for my Bluetti system for months exactly as you had suggested I set it up. Been working GREAT... until, last week. I added two batteries bringing my dual phase system to (4) batteries each. After shutting down to add batteries and starting back up, it doesn't communicate with HA anymore. I can scan and see the devices but it won't bring in the entities. Everything else on HA is fine. I would like to send you a screen shot of the issue but seems I can't paste one here. Do you have a differnt method of me getting it to you? I would appreciate your help!!!! Love your videos!!!

Did you update your firmware? If so, it appears that Bluetti made a change that broke the Bluetti-mqtt integration. I advised another person to request Bluetti to send their unit the old firmware, which they did, and it fixed it. If you didn't update your firmware, then make sure you completely shut down the Bluetti for a few minutes and reboot your HA. Then retry. Let me know...

@@MyBluetti I did not update my firmware. I will try the cold start again this evening when i get back to the system. In the meantime, I also responded to you on the forum as a comment on your website. I was able to upload a screen shot of the shutdown message I am getting. please check that also if you would. Thanks for your input.!!

Unfortunately... I shut system down, left it down for 15 mins and restarted. Same shutdown error / message. Please read the comment I left on your website since I was able to paste the screen shot there. Thanks

What is the home assistant Bluetti to mqtt add-on used for?
@MyBluetti
@MyBluetti 9 месяцев назад
It allows you to extract the Bluetti data to monitor, create reports and trending usage. You can also go in reverse and control your Bluetti from another device of your choosing

So I loaded home assistant os directly from pi imager program, do I need to put python on the home assistant server or the device I’m using to view home assistant, you say your HA is running on pi4, but you show Python installing on windows? Thanks

@MyBluetti
@MyBluetti 10 месяцев назад
Hi Jerry. The Bluetti-mqtt is a python app. If you're sharing a single raspberry pi, then you'll need to install Debian as your OS, and then run Home Assistant as a docker image. Once you get that up, you can install Bluetti-mqtt on the Debian OS. Alternatively, I ended up having one raspberry pi running Home Assistant OS and another raspberry pi running Debian for Bluetti-mqtt.
