The first time I saw vlad was when he was doing an interview on a radio station (before vladtv) he was talking with a fake new york accent...I'm from the bronx so I picked it up immediately (that interview magically disappeared from youtube soon afterwards). Fast forward to his show, do you remember some years ago while doing an interview, he wasn't sure which came first, nas' ether or tupac's death (2 monumental moments in hip hop). ...this was the dead giveaway. Everything he knows about the culture was told to him by people from the culture. This is how culture vulture operate. This is exactly how lyor cohen got started in the 80s.

Vlad doesn’t really do the same thing as these two. All three suffer from entitlement and not really grasping aspects of the culture but these two are much more exploitative. That’s a real statement. Art is art. It’s made for people from all different walks of life to processes, fall in love with and share… the color of your skin shouldn’t invalidate your passion and desire to speak on it. As long as it’s for real, and TLR clearly devotes his time and energy into getting to kno the whole story as far as he can… Adam has loved HipHop his whole life, decided to take that passion and turn it into a career and then build a major platform that employs people from the community… if there is true love for the culture in someone’s heart that’s all that should really matter…
