Jim, Tammy, and the whole gang Christmas Day 1985. There are special songs by Tammy Faye, Doug Oldham, Brenda Davis, Howard & Vestal Goodman, and Willa Dorsey. Even a special appearance by Santa AKA Uncle Henry!
jensmom604 I don’t believe that’s what this comment was about. I know God says to love others as your brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. It’s really hard to love those who are so hateful and full of negativity all the time. I am constantly asking God where the compassion is for others. How can people be so mean and nasty to one another? Is it because it’s so easy to be this way because others can hide behind a monitor? I must be different because I just can’t treat others with name calling and nastiness. My mother always taught us that if you haven’t anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all. I truly wish more people would practice this way of living.
I believe that Tammy Faye was an honest person. But do not think Jim Bakker and Pastor Richard Dortch were honest people. It was Tammy Faye noticed that something bad was going to happen to PTL and warned Jim that people worked for PTL may not be honest as they seem. Tammy Faye was right that PTL was about to crumble, but Jim chose not to listen and he lost it all.
Jim has a good heart. But he trusts bad people and aligns with people who end up hurting him in the long run. PTL grew too big too soon and I think he got off track trying to keep outdoing himself. His father was a total creep and Jim NEVER felt good enough, or that he could do anything right. So I think that issue has ruined his life, and caused him to make really bad decisions.
@@addisonbeach7455 You are so right. Tammy loved everyone- she was without guile. She never pretended to be other than what she was. Too many hypocrites in religion today.
How many Christians get caught up in material possessions? I could name a dozen right now with mansions, more jewelry than Tammy had, trips to Hawaii, etc.
Ycee Thequeen I can understand the sentiment but I have to warn you, don’t go back to the 70’s for too long. Shag Carpet, bad haircuts, polyester leisure suits, the colours Orange and brown, wallpaper....it’s a weird, unexplainable decade I’d prefer to forget.
