PTL Club: Jim Surprises Tammy Faye on her 40th Birthday 

My mom AdaMarie grew up with Tammy Faye. She was flown in to PTL to surprise Tammy Faye. So special!!

I’ve only ever know Tammy Faye as a caricature. I hate the media. I was literally moved to tears by her in this video. Her singing…..wow!

Tammy was Loved by Everyone. Jim couldn't have done it without her.

My mom used to baby sit Tammy and Jim’s kids. She said Tammy was literally the nicest woman on the planet, she said Jim wasn’t mean but just completely disconnected. Rest In Peace Tammy

Tammy was such a real sincere person. Love her voice.

Mrs. Maude Amy Humbbard had a beautiful smooth singing voice. That "Precious Lord" was outstanding!

Proof that flamboyant doesn't necessarily equal vain. Such a humble spirit.

You can tell the singers genuinely love her.

I am not a Christian but I have loved watching this show and her for a very long time. May she rest in peace. What a beautiful woman.

What a sweet lady Tammy was. I think she was just a delight to watch!! She was sincere and kind hearted ❤. When she started to sing or pray she would cry her heart out. Just about everyone loved her. Rex Humbard that gave Tammy the picture was the the pastor who officiated Elvis' funeral. Elvis was a big fan of Rex Hubbard. Rest in Heaven Tammy Faye.

Watching a documentary on the bakers Is this thing that Jim and Tammy had a lot of marital problems. Growing up as a little kid in the 80's I remember my grandmother watching this show. Year's later I remember in my late teens watching a reality show on VH1 called Surreal Life. Dealing with all the passed Celebrities. They had Vanilla Ice, Sherman Hensley(The Jefferson & Amen)..etc and Tammy Baker was on there. Watching her I got to see that she was a true kind hearted person. People may say was a undercover demon but I never saw that in her

I was a baby when Tammy and Jim grew to the height of their careers. I don’t remember anything except her fashion and makeup on TV. They are human beings who made mistakes like we all do. God bless the person who forgives instead of finding fault with his brother.

I was only 12 yrs when I would watch the PTL club every morning before catching the school bus. Now I am 56 still i think of that show and Tammy, I loved her.

That older couple knew. They truly knew. And they wanted Jim to know that they knew what he put Tammy through.

She is nothing like media portraited her to be. This woman was bubbly and full of life!

Tammy was a dear she seemed so happy in her second marriage. I don't think she was destined for ptl stardom, I think she just was a great trooper and towed the line , and at one time truly loved Jim bakker but his greed and the lifestyle was too much but her love for God kept her there.

at about 20:00 in this video Maude Aimee and Rex talk to Tammy, they pray, and Maude Aimee sings a song to Tammy. You can really tell Tammy was going through trials and tribulations. You can tell they knew what Tammy was going through, Godly Blessed People. If you listen to Tammy sing in her songs during this program. The message of the song was hitting home. I grew up watching the PTL club, I miss it, I miss Jim and Tammy being together. Its sad that the devil worked his way in to this Ministry. I hold no bad feelings towards anyone of PTL. They've all asked for forgiveness and left it at the altar. A lot of these people have already went home to be with the Lord. They are whole and in the loving hands of GOD.

Interviewed Tammy in 1997 at a Palm Springs radio station I worked at. Found her to be charming....

Makes me sad to watch videos from back then. She had a full face and was very pretty in-spite of wearing too much makeup. Then to see her emaciated from cancer (in her final video) is truly sad!
