Pu'er tea has been grown and drunk in Yunnan Province, China, for over a thousand years. Who would have thought coffee, a western beverage, only introduced to China in the last few decades, would actually be in a position to threaten such a historically and culturally important beverage!? I needed to see with my own eyes whether Pu'er tea was in any real danger, and see what the future of these two beverages looks like in China.
