Friends, here's a quick breakdown of the video..."Old Green Card system vs. New system" begins at 2:50. 6 things to expect under Public Charge starts at 7:17
I just want to take some time to thank this amazing attorney. I love the way she takes time to give her clients one on one attention. I love her team spirit and work ethic. She's very professional and passionate. She truly cares about her clients. I will recommend anyone to her at anytime. I am blessed to have her as an attorney. I love you. Also special thanks goes out to her two wonderful assistants. Can't thank you guys enough!
My advice to anyone adjusting status ask for the work permit to have it as soon as possible and work until your interview date if your petitioner doesn’t make enough your own income can help
:) USA - Louisiana... Smart Immigration Academy member - great learning experiences as a member. If you are not a member, you should join and learn as much as possible, plus get another family that understands what you are experiencing.
One thing that’s really disappointing to me is how politics and emotional rhetoric gets involved in absolutely everything these days. Madam you are an immigration attorney, you know as well as I do most developed nations do not admit or won’t allow to stay people who may be a financial burden upon their country. Japan and Australia are perfect examples. The problem in America today, is people want emotions to override common sense. So ridiculous
People are so ignorant about it too. This is the way we always did immigration in this country until very recently, but people act like this is some radical new idea. I can't imagine the mindset of someone who wants to move to someone else's country and immediately be a leech.
I like the president, but this "public charge" rule seems a bit harsh and dumb. I mean... not everyone has got a small loan of a million $ from dad to make his bank account great again and even if someone's got a million bucks why would he want to immigrate anyway? Didn't poor people from around the globe build the USA? The American Dream and all that?
You talk about public charge with adjustment of status but what if your petition was approved through USIC and NVC and sent to the embassy does this effect someone who is trying to come to the US. We all know that Jamaica is a 3rd world country nobody has Assets of $50,000 or health insurance but Jamaicans are hard workers. Can you please talk about this? Thanks in advance.
I agree that change need to happen w/ USCIS/DHS BUT the way its being done. I am a immigrant thru my father & mother. I thank GOD for the opp to live, & be educated in America!!! LaToya I truly believe as you have stated: "You can get through..." It does takes knowing your info & getting it done!!! JACKSONVILLE, FL
In respect, if attorneys raise their legal fees they should drop their consultation fee. This goes for McBean Immigration, it would be nice if she dropped her consultation fee if she's increasing her legal fees.
9. Public Charge: Declaration of Self-Sufficiency (Form I-944) and Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the INA (Form I-864) In addition to Form I-485, you must file Form I-944 and Form I-864 to establish that you are not inadmissible based on the public charge ground, if you fall into one of the categories listed below. See Form I-944 Instructions and Form I-864 Instructions for more information. Failure to submit a required I-944 or I-864, will result in a denial of your I-485. Please note that Form I-864W is no longer required, so you do not need to submit a separate Form I-864W with your Form I-485.
Hello McBean, our application is already with the embassy, we are just waiting for the interview, are we still affected by public charge? I hope I receive your response... thank you
I’m very depressed about everything. I fought in two wars for my country. I’m not asking for preferential treatment but I have now a learning disability because of my wartime service. They could have tried to educate people before dumping this in our laps.
Will this same form to show sufficiency of funds to cover health would be filled by a winner of Green lottery before interview at the Embassy or does it affect the winner at all ??
Just be honest and truthful is the only way to be that way it won't come back and hurt you in a bad way.Cost of living in US is getting unbelievable for all.
I'm watching from lodi new Jersey I been watching your video one week ago and I love the way you explain all the subjects you talk in all yours programs🙏🏻🇩🇴😘 transmission
My wife and I just filed the D 260 and the civil documents. We are being sponsored by my sister in law and we are on the NVC part of the process. But we didn t see that new form you mentioned, it was only the DS 260. We are from Nicaragua
We received the welcome letter on may 2019. Would it be because of that? We just completed the process because we had not decided if we would immigrate to the US or not. We almost lost the visa because we were very close to 1 year after the letter.
Hello I am an US citizen, I had filled since December 2018 the approval came this month February 20, before I had SSI and Medicare but in April 2018 they had cut it since I had workers Composition, But I dont know what effect the public charge will have on me.
I am watching from San Antonio, Texas love it my inspiration. I want to be an immigration lawyer and im thinking to go back to school to reach my goal what do you recommend could you be my mentor?
Hello Maam, can you please confirm, if the intending immigrant now have to fill up and submit his/her own I-864 with the I-944. The old I-485 doesnt require the intending immigrant to submit I-864 only the Sponsor, and the petitioner. Thank you so much.
Hello Mcbean ,I do have question about public charge .Does this effect family based petition?? If yes let me know ,in-order to avoid what we need to do
Hi Mrs Mc Bean . I like watching your videos, you give us good insight on immigration, you are always on point. You are such an amazing attorney, you give us very good important information about things we didn't know about. I will recommend anyone to you at anytime. Thanks for your services.
I would like to know if a visitor visa would need an accompanying visitors' insurance to travel to the USA and at that moment, it is required; at the interview or upon arrival at the port of entry?
Hi Atty! Thanks for the info. May i ask if uscis will decide at the point of interface in the likes of K1, spouse visa? Because im thinking that if they've decided later on to deport the applicant, that would be heartbreaking after the expenses incurred by the petitioner and the result is not favorable? Or is the bond an assurance that greencard is surety already?
We submitted AOS on February 11, 2020 for Petitioner as well as Joint Sponsor and submitted DS-260 and all other documents on February 22, 2020. Will we be adjudged with new system of public Charge or old one? Category F4, Pakistan
Dear Friends, Please keep in mind that the new rule does not apply to aliens whom Congress exempted from the public charge ground of inadmissibility, such as refugees, asylees, Afghans and Iraqis with special immigrant visas, and certain nonimmigrant trafficking and crime victims, individuals applying under the Violence Against Women Act, special immigrant juveniles, or to those who DHS has granted a waiver of public charge inadmissibility.
