You know you're looking at a true master of the comic arts when even a casual process video tells two stories at once. It's all about the thematic resonance, man!
Noticed the totally-not-a-bribe-from-Kodansha Akira boxset, and wanted to tell you how much I love the Mangasplaining podcast. Thanks to you, Deb, David, and Chris, I've now spent hundreds of dollars on manga that may otherwise have been spent buying Public Domain. Oh well!
Great insight to the process Chip. Quick Q from a loyal watcher, how can I get my wife to support me leaving my lucrative sales job to draw erotic Batman comics professionally? I really think with a few art lessons I could make it to the big leagues but she's afraid that I don't know how to draw and that we have children. Any advice?
Have you thought about using Kickstarter? They sell all sorts of things and I'm sure they would love to sell whatever it is that you're currently selling at your lucrative sales job! With your job outsourced, you can finally spend your days drawing pictures of Batman being a Power Bottom.
I absolutely love your work and loved this video!!! Your new Batman run is something I look forward to every month. I definitely will be checking out Public Domain!!
Love love love public domain! Also will quid pro quo for a doodled script (wink) slide into my DMs silver fox. (Not a crazy person just joking around, except about public domain that shit rocks)
Hey I have the same model Cintiq! :) I just read Public Domain volume 1 on Hoopla and i really liked it. One of the rare "happy" endings where I'm super ready for the story to continue. When can we expect volume 2?
