The lady complaining about the nails is being ridiculous and demeaning. You don't get a refund if you mess up a nail after you leave the shop. If you ask nicely they'll usually fix it, but they have no obligation to do that.
Totally agree. The nail shop lady was in the right. What the nasty customer was REALLY saying was "I made something up so I can get free service, and I'm pretending there's no possible way I can take ten minutes to get the bullshit problem I made up fixed. Also, I'm trying really hard to sound like the reasonable one even though I'm being unreasonable". At least a few people saw through her BS.
In the ten minutes she argued with the owner she could have got her dam nail fixed for free. Sounds like she just wanted the whole service for free. The owner should have threw her out of the store banning her return
notice how instead of writing a letter or email or making a phone call to someone in the corporation with some decision making power, they always pick out the least threatening looking employee to go pick on?? honestly, they never will pick a big mean looking dude it's always some poor nice lady or something
jhanks2012 right ? I work in a ice cream store, these two dudes come up wanting some ice cream, they didn't speak good English, and kept screaming at me because I was scooping the wrong ice cream even though they kept pointing at that particular one, so I got upset and shouted for my much larger male co workers to come help him, they shut right the fuck up , got their shit and left 😂😂
Dont eat there anymore. Learn how to cook your own real food. There are more solutions then threatening someone's job because you think you're supposed to get 5 star treatment or food from a fast food restaurant. That shit is trash anyway!!
They do though.... most companies have it in policy that you have to serve people like that. you can't let your personal or emotional side interfere with your professional side. Your at work, do your job. Someone talking shit to you, you serve them and go on with your day. Refuse them and you cause a scene, you make problems, you hold everyone else up and you fail to do your job.
Yer your paid to be there so put up with bad customers, don't fight with them. Your not paid to argue and fight with your customers and they aren't wasting their time if they are asking you to do something, that doesn't make sense. Like the guys wanting a pack of smokes, just serve them, takes 1 minute instead of arguing with them which took like 5 minutes and most likely cost the store a customer and money.
it's true, unfortunately. i used to work part time as a cashier and a lot of people tend to act like they own you just because you're the one serving them. they even made complaints ( hell even "personal ideas", what they considered it would make service better ) to me ( that were frankly overreacting or they were just self entitled ) that were the company's management problem, not a cashier's. frankly a lot of people in this video are just so self entitled and nit pick at things. also workers most of the time follow their company's policy which they can do nothing about because they're paid to follow procedures from the top. one of the best examples is the clip at around the 8 minute mark. frankly i don't plan on ever working in retail again, not even part time, it's unpleasant dealing with too many types of "specimens" as i could call some of those overly self-entitled jackasses.
Greta Walmart has less product selection and is filthy in our area! We shop at the Bargain store and the Bay now! The service is amazing and people treat us respectfully!
WalMart says it has the lowest prices buts that’s false. Their customer service sucks and how they treat their employees is terrible. Sam Walton is rolling over in his grave about how his company is being ran into the ground.
It's not WalMart's fault your card declined. They attempted to accept it and your bank said no. If you do have that money, then it is on you now to get it to finalize the purchase. It is not bad customer service, but being a bad customer.
Sarah Windgate well, his card was declined either way..but that still doesn't give him the right to ask the business to reimburse him for using the ATM... :/ da hell? I think it's common practice that certain stores don't accept certain type of cards/form of payment..so if he didn't have any other card or way of paying, how is that store's problem? He is totally in the wrong here.. being a smartass and "threatening" to post it everywhere.. :'D pahlease! Pay or leave - is the way I see it.. :P
It sounds like Walmart has an issue with their payment system so they couldn’t take certain cards. It’s not Walmart’s fault you only had your card on you. It sucks but it’s completely unreasonable For you to expect the store to reimburse you for bank fees if you opt to use the ATM. His smart ass wouldn’t have asked that if he were at any other store. He mentioned that “I can pay my bank the fees to purchase at your low prices”. He knew then he had options, he could’ve used the ATM and ate the fee from his bank to Purchase the items at a low cost, or gone somewhere else and uses his card but paid a higher fee for his merchandise
His card wasn’t declined but Walmart’s card machine was down so they could only Accept cash. Regardless that wasn’t technically Walmart’s fault plus they were fixing the issue
I worked in the service industry for many years and I refuse to work at Walmart. People do not understand the mental abuse retail/service industry receive.
Ten years ago I was a manager at a Starbucks and came across way too many entitled people. I believe I speak for all managers and supervisors when I say we don't give a fuck about you or your first world problems. We will gladly fix the issue, but leave your character flaws at home.
That lady who wanted a refund for the nails is just plain ticking me off. She realizes that nails have to dry. Maybe if they wouldn't of been so reckless and ruined her nails, then maybe she wouldn't have had to even go back to my store. To those who question my credibility, my mom, two aunts, and my father all have a professional license as a manicurist and a pedicurist and have worked for 19 years and counting. Also, that Vietnamese lady probably immigrated to America and started her business never less her life from scratch. The amount of disrespect that customer had toward the owner of that business makes my pity her. If I met her in real life, I would lecture the American out of her. I would give her a piece of my mind.
Its hard to know whos at fault. As a nail tech, its dreadful every time little kids come in to get their nails done because the commission is so low, so techs tend to do their nails very fast which is fine but this is a tough call because it could be the parents having over expectation or the nail tech not doing enough.
I know! Occasionally when I my nails done & one breaks right away, it happens sometimes! Doesn't mean it's the tech's fault, could of been mine. I always go & ask nicely if they'll fix it and they always do for free. When people make such big deals out of things like this, their life is truly great. Because clearly they don't have any real problems.
You're all wrong the card reader was not working properly and she told him to use the ATM which charges a fee to withdraw money. That's what his gripe was. I've had this happen a few times at Walmart but it's simple just go to Atm withdrawal the cash pay the fee. It's not worth an argument.
@@claytonking70 exactly. It’s not that difficult and fussing/making a scene is not going to change the results. It’s not the workers fault and they can only do so much.
Guy buying the beer and cigs had like white beard. Like cmon bruh he’s at least 21, said his birth year was in 1964 or something. Definitely deserved to be fired lmao 😂
When will people realize employees are not there to kiss your ass? I see my father talk horribly to them and it disgusts me. They do not get paid enough to deal with people's bullshit.
Jasmine was great. That dude was a douche. It’s not her fault their card reader wasn’t working. Just suck it up, get cash from the ATM or just go somewhere else to buy your stuff. Geez
Nelly Davis Nelly Davis really I mean Christ there’s only one nail vid in this video if you didn’t watch enough to know that or to know her name was Lee all you had to say is “I agree with the woman who owns the nail shop”
I honestly don’t know how to feel about that situation. I feel like the owner could have handled it better and I would’ve probably just given her her refund to get rid of her. But at the same time, getting your nails done and services like that are kind of a different category from other customer service jobs. They already spent their time and recourses to serve you, if something is wrong just don’t go there again. Not to mention it was just the toe (?) that was messed up not all them and the customer wanted a refund. Maybe ten percent back maybe ... lol.
Agreed and many salons have a policy that if there is an issue you have to return within 24 hours and allow them to redo your nails before giving you a refund. And they’re nails, they may be acrylic or gel but they’re not invincible. She also kept mentioning her daughters cheer competition. To me it sounds like her daughter wanted her nails done for the competition, and probably doesn’t normally have them done. There is def an adjustment that comes with nail extensions and if you’re not used to them it’s very easy to damage them-especially doing something physical like Cheerleading. She probably got a full set and damaged an embellishment or broke a nail during practice after. The video also shows her daughter was not with them when the Owner kept saying bring her back in. She had no proof of any actual issue with the nails at all. She was right to say bring her back in and we’ll fix them, and was right to deny the refund when the woman refused. No salon is going to give a refund for a full service not being right after the client walks out of the client Themselves is not actually present for them to assess the issue.
Unless the customer is me. Believe it or not I have always been right in my life. In fact, I have only make one mistake and I was 11. That is it. No mistakes and never wrong in my entire life.
- JAVA - ikr! The way she just stood there and SMILED when she was told the video would be all over the internet :P She was all like "Thanks for the free advertising, b*tch!"
The WalMart employee has no control over technological malfunctions LMBO! I am glad she handled herself well,it made the guy recording look like a big douche.
The woman at the nail salon pisses me off. Like she is offering you to get it fixed but you are denying and saying "i want my money back" i smell something rotten. As if she just wanted her daughter to get free nails done. She was going to let you do it for free right away right there but you just want your money back. Smells very very fishy to me.
She's saying she doesn't trust the product anymore and doesn't want to have the same problem tomorrow, since the owner is admitting it was a bad job and won't refund the money she's in the wrong.
joman66 seriously people act like the assistant manager is making all the rules. don't bitch at an assistant manager because she's following policies put in place by the people that run the company
I used to work at Family Dollar and she pretty much said a lot of things I've had to say to irrate customers. She just did it in an extremely polite & very correct way!
joman66 OMG WTF people are so stupid if your credit card it's not working please contact your fucking Bank...why people jump on how's doing is job properly...shit man.
joman66 They want to get reimbursed for ATM fees? Really? Because their card wasn't accepted, they are butthurt and blaming Wal-Mart? Wow. People think that these businesses are supposed to just do whatever the customer wants, even if it is ridiculous and unrealistic. The customer is always right? Nope. And I agree that the assistant manager at that Wal-Mart was extremely professional and didn't let the customers make her upset or angry. I don't know if I could have been that calm and polite. And why do people think that by posting videos like this on Facebook and RU-vid, these businesses are just gonna give in to them being butthurt? Do they think they're gonna get their way? These kind of people are ones that have never been told NO. They have always gotten their way, they have always bullied people. Our country has become a nation of entitled brats who whine and protest whenever they don't get their way, or if someone doesn't agree with them. I have 2 children and I am NOT raising them to be like this and behave this way. I'm sure all of you reading these comments feel the same way and don't want your kids grow up to act this way.
it's always the same. 1.take out camera. 2. ask for the manager 3. ask for a corporate 's number 4. ask for the manager's name 5. tell manager you are a paying customer 6.keep lecturing manager that he has an attitude 7.keep blabbing blabbing blabbing because you are at mcdonalds and think you are VIP and it's some 5 star restaurant and you deserve special treatment.
Markersable I always have felt uncomfortable with everything and for many good reasons. Looks like I should go in sales and never have to make a sale from how I feel sales hand book lmao.Getting free money now. It helps to make a sale if you also not giving attitude before you even start to help.
More an more ppl deal with stuff like this welcome to life. Ww2 was not won for ppl on both ends to be a over sensitive on both end but grow up and a real pair. Lmao how many thousands of years and knowledge we went threw for a how I feel handbook for sales persons. Lol what ever you say.
The last time some bxtch was complaining about how I run my store. I asked her. "Would you like to put in an application cuz im hiring & it seems you know how to manage a store."☺
+Zale Blackwell Ive worked in a hotel which is basically slave labor to the idea of "customer service". It's torture. You literally bend over backwards, use your own money, everything just to make guests happy who most of the time don't even notice. For that reason I always tip really high and try not to cause any issues with anyone that services me. I know the pain.
Hard to watch. She was nothing but apologetic about the situation, trying to offer solutions, the fault had been reported and was in the process of being sorted. How is she specifically to blame for a card machine fault? It happens. Cannot believe the way the customer acted. People are unreal... so egocentric and entitled.
Walmarts card readers are a service, not a privilege. He's a total moron. He points out he can film and upload to youtube as a right, and yet doesn't understand how sales and services is not.
I bet his entire perspective will change after he receives that first good ass whoopin when he comes across the right customer and refuses to give their money back.
+C1rcu1tBr34k3r Like me hmm? I have pimp slapped that trash at Wal mart before then I TAKE my money back (ok true I was worried that loss prevention would be at the door waiting for me but they never were...maybe they agreed with me too hahaha)
And you wonder why people in the service business no longer believe the customer is always right, these are perfect examples. Ran across many of these stupid people out there and I believe it is contagious. No respect for people, only "me, me".
Adele how is it "poor lee" they were being nice and simply asked for a refund that is not prohibited and they didn't have time to come back so honestly I don't feel bad lee was in the wrong.
Mimi Love Poor Lee because they went in complaining about an alleged issue with the nails. They didn’t actually have their daughter with them, and had no actual proof of any issue. They walked in camera out, demanding a FULL refund for a design issue on 1 toenail, than repeatedly threatened bad reviews if they didn’t get a full refund.
Mimi Love they weren't being nice, the lady was being confrontational and interrupting every time Lee tried to speak. Then trying to intimidate Lee into caving to her demands by saying "I'm putting this on the internet". If that's what you think "nice" is, I hope I don't have to interact with you out in public.
the length of treatment of belittling an employee a great many(ALWAYS RIGHT)customers will reach N GO BEYOND just to feel & look(A LEVEL WAY OUT OF THERE REACH)is truly unimaginable..
I work in a store where they believe the whole "Customer is always right" bullshit, and I've had to deal with returns, give items free of charge, and marking things off because they didn't want to pay for a $27 cake.
Jesus Christ people ... you are customers. You are not their bosses, or their gods and they are not your slaves! They are trying to make their jobs! Don't you have anything better to do than ask for a supervisor?!
What do you mean he did nothing but his job? He refused to serve them and said they were trying to skip lines when all they were doing was trying to buy cigarettes, you can't refuse to serve a customer because you have a sneaking suspicion they were trying to skip lines. Although I admit he ended up getting his way anyways by taking the beer back which is funny.
the one with the nail lady, if your daughter messes her nails up ten minutes after getting them done, that isn’t a reason for a refund. her daughter is the one that messed it up.
Vegas I agree! I’m not defending her or anything, but I have to commend her for not making a huge scene. The nail lady was the one who was raising her voice. That’s just my observation, though. It’s ok if you don’t agree with me. I just hope that people realize that it takes two to tango. If a customer makes a scene (or even if the customer is being calm while making a complaint), the employee shouldn’t retaliate/get upset. Whether the customer is right or not.
NAM Jooon Are you calling me a bitch, or are you just ending your sentence with that word? :( I didn’t do anything to you. I was just sharing my insights.
NAM Jooon That’s what I thought. 😂 I agree that a lot of the customers were being jerks! I was just saying that employees can be rude as well. 😊 I’m not completely disagreeing with you, though.
Since the customer who had no class was insisting on a refund of her money, if I was the nail lady I would have said, "I'll be happy to give you your money back after I sit your child down and kindly remove all the polish we put on her today." That lady would have shut up and left so fast, maybe...
Gotta Love Jasmine, something that she has 0 control over and still she stayed polite... She did what she could... I have no idea how she stayed courteous to the end!
Business can refund the amount of the withdrawal fee from the purchase amount when it is an error on the business part bc they cant make good on their claims and it is no fault of the customer bc no way could the customer foresee this. And that us all that, the man was asking her to do so it woukd be the same amount as if he just made the purchase using his intended form of payment. She did handle herself well but her answer was incorrect.
I have had my nails mess or the color mess up because I forget about it. She's a teenager and I bet you she did something that caused it to mess up. 🤷🏼♀️ I get it she is cheap but she cant demand a refund when the lady can fix it for free. I would've taken it, and I'm cheap and not "rich".
For the walmart scene at 7:40, your card gets declined thats between you and your bank. Yes, ATMs not associated with your bank will charge a fee.. Youre told this when you open an account (at least you should be). The store does not have to reimburse you.. And typically those are other banks within walmart, those arent walmart atms. Some people's kids.....
I love how the idiot complaining in the nail salon was stumped into silence when she asked Lee if she was the owner and she replied 'yes'!! She was literally lost for words. I'm guessing she was about to go down the 'you'll be fired for this' line had she not answered as such. A beautiful moment in an ugly clip.
Misskeeleyt Lee said sike bitch I own this building I say no thank you for the money bye bye and to begin they didnt even have to offer to fix the nail you had your service and left the salon so guess what you mess up a nail that's on you
Seriously it should be a rule that you're allowed to smack (not punch) anyone who shoves a damn phone in your face. "This is going on the intern.." "SLAP!"
7:30 My god I am so sick of stupidity like that. ONE EMPLOYEES IS NOT ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE ENTIRE COMPANY'S RULES AND POLICIES. Moronity at it's finest.
Carly Miller OH YES. Another excellent point. I guess some people's ego blinds their rationality. Thinking if they challenge a random employee over something they cannot control that they'll get something out of it. Or acting like an employee should break the rules and risk losing their job for one customer. Some of them act like you were the founder of the store
Retail brick and mortar shops do get paid for the ATM being on site. In addition, they gain from customer convenience and it increases foot traffic in smaller boutique locations and big box locations alike.. I don't think that they had any obligation to pay the fee but I wanted to clear up any notion that somehow ATM's are placed in a Walmart without Walmart gaining from it.
he said it was 'scratched out' the customer replied 'its wore out, i cant help that.' it wasnt expired. the employee just wanted another excuse not to help them. i dont see why making someone wait until the 15 minute long line has cleared then to deny them service.
@@LesskoBrandon Actually being in retail over 20 years myself I can tell you. That if an ID is not 100% readable worn out or not it is not a valid form of ID. I you cannot read the expiration date you cannot accept it. By law
Conflict resolution in 2019 - whip out your phone scream, yell, throw personal insults, demand free things, threaten to post to the internet. Seems logical
8:40 -10:35, My favorite part hahahaha He asked him for his ID and said I can't take that hahahaha I'm so glad he got the last laugh in that situation..the lord heard him for sure lol The old guy who handed him his ID was like "whaaaattt?" And then he just took their beers and cigarettes hahahahahah
Pisses me off when people complain at a drive thru window, it's like pull up and get out of the car and talk directly with whoever. Don't hold the line for everyone else.
Oh my god!! Amen!! Why do people think that people who work at the bottom of the totem poll make the rules, when it is actually head office/ CEOs that make the rules. we don't make the rules we have to follow them!! We only know what head office tells us. And hell no the customer is not always right!!
I love the cashier in the green shirt; "Lord ha mercy". I hope he gets a raise and promotion to manager of everything. Lord give him the patience to deal with A holes until he is promoted!
As a former retail employee of many years, here is my advice if you receive bad customer service. Like the customer at MCDs clearly stated, the staffs at most shops could give af about your complaint. On the bottom of most all retail and food receipts is a survey. Go online and do the survey. Complain on the survey. These results usually go STRAIGHT to a district or territory manager. If you rate them anything under a 10 or 5, it hurts their KPIs and they will do anything to fix it. That's why it's also really important to do the survey when you get great customer service too, so places know they're doing things right. I had poor customer service once at a MCDs, just took my food and drove away without a word, but completed the survey explaining what happened. The next week the area manager called me to ask for my address so he could send me a $20 MCDs gift card. It pays to be professional.
You know what....each and everyone of the "customers" in these videos were rude as hell. Customer service is one of the hardest jobs out there because you run across people like this and now I feel for these workers
Businesses have no control over bank and ATM fees. That is done by the banks. If you want a refund for fees go to your bank. The business has the machine as a courtesy for customers.
