I remember as a tiny kid circa 1978 being in a café with my aunt and cousin. I decided to impersonate the think once, think twice, think BIKE ad. As my hand karate chopped the table I disturbed a coffee cup and sent its contents flying across the floor. You can’t take me anywhere….
Strange one about the polished floor. Must have been common though, when my parents bought their first house there were no carpets pre-fitted, just polished floors in hall and the living room.
The pre Savile clunk click film is hilarious, it should have been a Monty Python sketch! "Never clunk without your click" It started off as a nice idea about warning people to wear a seat belt, then it just got SILLY! "See ya clunk clicker"
Have you got any of the otha ones: Spirit of dark water Electricity: Football Electricity: Frisbee Or the one on the farm : Agricultural accidents I think
The rug on a polished floor was an odd one. Was it really that common to have a accident this way? It seems someone in the public information office had a personal experience and decided to throw away money because of it.
Think Once, Think Twice, Think Bike reminds me of the Young Ones version.... ''Let's assume for one moment... that this table is a crowded shopping street on a Saturday afternoon. And this... meringue, filled with whipped cream, is a young mother weighed down with groceries. And this... juicy, over-ripe tomato is a tiny little girl, who doesn't know what a dangerous place her exciting new world is. And let's assume that this... clingfilm parcel, of mashed banana and jam, is a deaf senior citizen, who is in a wheelchair, and is blind. And this... cricket bat, with a breeze-block nailed to it, is your car. Now what happens when your car mounts the pavement? [batters the meringue, tomato and parcel of banana and jam with the cricket bat] Think once. Think twice. Think....DON'T DRIVE YOUR CAR ON THE PAVEMENT''
