The more horrifying part of this video was 5:13 .... god, the fear on that woman's face is so real, as can be attested to by anyone who has gone out shopping and forgotten their purse/wallet, or not had enough on them to pay for the whole shop. *shudders*
I'm very confused about that ad about cross ply and radial tires. I don't know a thing about tires, really. I don't know a double tread tire from a radial tire. Could someone explain to me what exactly IS a cross ply tire and a radial tire, and what happens if you "mix" them? Thanks!
Cross Ply = Tyre made of several layers of rubber oriented at opposing angles to adjacent layers. Radial = Tyre made (Mostly) of steel wire arranged in a web, coated with rubber. Cross-Ply tyres wear down a lot quicker than radials, hence the dangers present from "mixing" them. To this day the only legal "mix" (Under UK law) is two radials on the driving axle, and two cross-ply on the rolling (unpowered) one.
Is it me or did everyone have greasy straggly hair in those days? Makes me feel better because I am the owner of greasy straggly hair. Perhaps shampoos have come on a long way since those days.
