health insurance in Germany are 2 types: public or private. Which is the best for students and employees? what are the advantages and disadvantages of both? I will explain all details in this video.
The coverage in the public insurance just keeps getting worse and worse and keeps getting more expensive. If you have the possibility (healthy + minimum 70k salary) I would consider switching to private health insurance. We recently made a video about this, also with the possibility to speak to an expert that compares all the private health insurances in Germany and helps you make the right choice, feel free to check it out.
Private also has disadvantages: for Example, more expensive and you should do insurance for your children as well. Therefore, everyone has to be careful and look for the suitable type that matches his or her situation
Hi....my sister is 39 years old and she got student visa in January 23......now she is in Berlin.... She can get private health insurance with an affordable rate for students (around 80 euro per month). She can ask her fellow friends. Or ask for the health insurance at studentenwerk for example.
Well, if both are public, then there is no big difference in my opinion. I am on TK, and i find them really good. You should ask someone on sbk for his or her experience as I do not know anything about sbk.

If you work part time, then you will directly use the public health insurance. Ask your employer. Before working part time, you can choose a private health insurance with reasonable rate for students.
