Brilliant video Dale, thank you so much for sharing it. Yes there are a lot of options besides KDP; I for one have a number of my e-books (Erotica) on Amazon KDP but others (non-erotica) on D2D. However, the ones on KDP I am definitely planning to go wide on D2D and the ones on D2D I will get them on KDP. The ones I have on D2D some of them I have as printed books as well. Unfortunately due to my very limited budget I can't go on Publish Drive.

Yeah, PublishDrive isn’t for everyone but that day might come to you sooner than later. Just keep at it.

There are quite a few negative reviews from authors who've used them. Mostly around the lack of support and being sketchy in distributing royalties. Have you personally used them or just reporting how it works? Do you know other authors who use and are happy with PD?

I've personally used them and have had zero issues with support assistance and payments. And, I don't use my special connections to get favors; in fact, I lay low and try not to use my position on RU-vid to gain favorable service. Every platform has their hang-ups and detractors. I know quite a few authors who love PublishDrive, but can't take away from the folks who've had a dissatisfactory experience. There are always two sides to every story. The tough part is discerning what is applicable to you and your business goals. They have the trial, so give that a shot. If they don't deliver in the two weeks, cancel the account, and try another avenue.

I wanted to let you know, Dale, sometimes during the live we pose questions out to chat. Me asking where the pesky moderator was at was two things, one was me looking and seeing S.D. Houston not there, and trying to remember what her name was an Susan Montgomery popped in my head because I have a friend with that last name. I meant to say SD. I have played around with S.D. during your lives to know she would take that tongue in cheek as a cute nod to her moderator efforts and a joke. I have been places before where mods won't let you post one side of an opinion and I have had run ins, so I play around with them. S.D. is an awesome woman and moderator. Also Susan and I have chatted up enough to know that I meant nothing by saying pesky, even though I wasn't directing it at her. For me that word, today, is connotated more to have the reverse meaning when used among friends. I am a nice guy and if I am mad or being innappropriate it is way more scathing and obvious. I respect all in chat as well as your platform. As far as the question thing goes, you have done that before, grabbed a question from chat that was directed at chat and tried to answer it. Those are often the ones where you are real confused on. I will be careful when asking a question while you are not paying attention, or maybe we should either star them with something or wait until the end. Love you Dale L.

You’re totally fine. I want you to feel comfortable enough to say what you want. Shanon and I spoke about it before and I’m 100% okay with folks sharing deferring opinions from mine so long as they stay professional and avoid cursing. I think I was just confused at first since I wasn’t reading the comments in real-time.

Dreame is very shady... Very. They have Barbara Cartland as a writer account as if she's alive... I doubt if they have permission to do that.

@@selfpubwithdale It's worse, way worse. Authors lose copyrights to their books indefinitely, the word count demands are ludicrous (300K words)... And the tropes they want their signed authors to write are a list of redflags. You get told: Write this or you won't get promoted. And you get 8% ... as one of their contracted writers. Oh and you have to sign an NDA with them.
