Literally the first thing I shot after moving to Atl. This is raw footage folks! I pretty much just setup the camera and pressed the red button. Quality isn't as good as I would like, but i'm sure y'all just want to hear Big Mike Sing. This was shot at a local Jazz Bar/Restaurant: Ray's on the River.

It's amazing how different Mike's singing and body language is, compared with his Puddles persona... He must really love Puddles as I hear they are never far apart...

Good point... The art of singing with emotion IS acting... You convince yourself into feeling a certain way and the voice follows!

There's plenty of similarities too. Their hand motions and subtle movements are the same, but Puddles is more forceful and direct with his performance. Mike "feels" the music, while Puddles makes his audience feel it.

One of the things I love about his performances are just how expressive his face is. It adds so very much to the performance, this "acting" while he sings, especially as Puddles.

His mask really isn't a joke as you say. When i watch him don his Puddles persona... He's Puddles...but when he's in his awe in certain songs....i hear Mike... the passion he puts into the song, vocals etc. But never a mask 💜

The mic needed a little adjustment and piano payer was a little heavy handed (piano needed tuning?) But I like the fact, inspite of the weird acoustics, Big M had fun yet stayed professional in his control. So many Pop singers have went way over the top with this song which takes away from Sinatra's cool delivery of this sexy Jazz tune. Mike plays it closer to the original home key which kept everything from going completely sour. He could have hit the big time long ago if he had lucked into the right producer who knew what to with his classic voice. Good thing he met Scott Bradlee and went to Teatro ZinZani's theatre!

It's a shame that he didn't pursue this path when he was in his 20's... Now he is just receiving some fame when he put on a character, and aged into his 50's. Would'a, Coud'a, Should'a!

SynergyCeleste He's been working on his entertainment for a very long time. Puddles has been a perfected act for years. He hasn't just been sitting around not doing anything. He's been working constantly. Fame does not come overnight. It's constant work. I am so happy to see all his success and I'm very excited to see where this leads to next. Age is not gonna slow him down.

Yes, I know...I never suggested he was sitting around. I don't know what he was doing before the mid-90's... Puddles sprang to life in 2010 as far as I can tell.

Cory Gilliam, Do you think Big Mike can sing the song "You Raise Me Up"? Just let me know. I want to hear his voices. I was just falling in love with his voices. I saw him on TV America Got Talents. I love the songs All By Myself and Royals. But I was disappointed for what Simon did stopped him because he did not sing right with his voice on Royals but I love it. He should be winner.
