I hiked into this ruin about 40 years ago. Four of us parked up at the Murphy (now Haldi) Ranch up on top, and came down that way. I remember that it was an absolute killer hike back up, and it thoroughly kicked my butt....and I was a lot younger then. I also remember the ruin itself being in better shape than it is now. The years (and careless visitors) have certainly taken their toll. Great video. Thanks for taking us along!
Thank you for sharing imagine the history in these places the indigenous people went to a great extent to live in safety from the mountain devils the degree to which they went to be safe. After so many years they could not standing longer some of them were discovered in wiped out and others left before they got taken a sad history that will one day be revealed. What were they hiding from soon we will all find out I think this time we wouldn't have half the guts to do what they did to survive. Just goes to show you what things you go to to keep from being eaten. This is why this canyon holds the name of the devils who live up in the adjacent mountains these people could not win their adversaries who followed them into these canyons forced them to leave. So they had to go south..
If you spend a few nights up there you know who I'm talking about. Once you find that out imagine the struggle to build a home inside that place picture yourself being chased out onto a cliff and nowhere to go. Many would rather jump to their death. Sadly some of them did not they were either made to be wives of the mountain devils or they were kept Alive in seclusion until consumed. Is the frightening history that native Americans will not talk about. Mostly because we think it's just fables or mith's and laugh at them. So they keep these stories to their selves knowing that one day we will find out our own. If you do not take head to the history. One day these places will all be late together and we will be no longer allowed inside. If we choose not to learn from the past movie forced to live in our crappy cities are these places for set aside for the mountain devils who force us in to corrales in our crappy cities. No longer free. Much of this history has been hidden in order to keep you dumb down or you would stop them from succeeding. Play that they're not successful. Keep this in mind.
DON'T TOUCH THE WALLS. YOUR HAND OILS CAUSE DAMAGE. TAKE OFF YOUR PACKS. YOU ARE VERY CARELESS AND ARE GOING TO DAMAGE THESE SITES. STOP TOUCHING EVERYTHING.
Thank you for pointing out the fact that those poles were song not hacked with a hatchet or axe I don't think archaeologists want recognize that something else is going on Native Americans aren't supposed to have saws. I noticed that when I saw the wood beams from the kivas.

@@donkellsoutdooradventures9774 haha yes that was my buddy that got his butt handed to him up there. He said he pulled a muscle just putting his pack on at the very start of the hike so it gave him trouble all the way up.
Liked the video but what I did not like is you guys touching and leaning on walls! Going through doorways and crawling all over is not cool. Look with eyes or cameras. Leave it as it sits. Real disappointmented. Watch all sorts of videos and everyone respects the ruins. A shame. You will probably hear the same from other viewers. Kinda makes me mad.
