...I live in san sebastian and the power has not gone out in about..a year in a half...luma came into san sebastian and change everything...don't know about other other towns...but in san sebastian we are doing good

Via gentrification of course. Privatization is making impoverishment worse. Guess they gotta bring down the population of locals somehow. I paid $135 for power (no ac) $90 for water, $250 for groceries but I’m told that’s everywhere I guess.

All Democrats should go to Puerto Rico, particularly right after Christmas until approximately the middle of March. It is a beautiful country with welcoming people. The beaches are outstanding, and the scenery is breathtaking. It is good to see Puerto Rico, get out of their financial difficulties, and it is up to Americans, escaping winter, to travel to Puerto Rico and help the people and their economy.

As a 24 years old Puerto Rican Born & Raised in the Island, and moved to Mainland 5 years ago, Florida, Louisiana, Texas, New York and California, the "Best for Puerto Rico Economy" is ....(RPU) Rich Port University " a competitive University like the Hundreds in Mainland like USC, UCLA, LSU, TEXAS A&M, STANDFORD, UK, etc,etc, where Americans (White & Blacks) , Jews, Asians, etc, move to Puerto Rico to enjoy this New University , but it has to Be build in a Place like the Abandoned Roosevelt Roads Ceiba or the Abandoned Lots of Roberto Clemente. It has to Come with A Mall, Hospital, Police and Fire Department, 24/7 Securities, etc, but "THE MOST IMPORTANT THING........"NCAA TEAMS", bringing NCAA Teams to Puerto Rico will change the History !!!! Baseball, Volleyball, Basketball, Football, Soccer, Etc,....Lets Imaging Any Team from any State traveling to Puerto Rico to compete?!! Oregon, Texas,New York, Florida, etc,etc,......❤❤❤❤ God Bless Israel, God Bless América!!!

First things first. Puerto Rico should become a state, no longer a territory. Puerto Rico has many opportunities but its not degrees and federal funds. Curious what will emerge. So far just talk, 11 months later. My family all moved to the mainland and visit only once a year, if at all.

I hope that the politicians will read some of this over there because there's still some issues going on over there though I'm home care Family Services paid for senior citizens which is being very neglected I do have to address this it would be more jobs give insurances would pay for family members over there. Many people have to leave their jobs to take care of family why not pay them like they doing in in the mainland especially like New York

Are you dumb? Construction in Puerto Rico is a thousand times stronger than anything in the US. This place isn't Florida which will drown with 5 feet sea level rise. It's earned the right to be a State, but it will never happen. Puerto Rico would be better served as a Sovereign and Independent Nation. PR will never achieve Economic Prosperity as long as the Island remains a US Colonial Possession. Statehood would only be the beginning of the end of Puerto Rico's Cultural Identity. Look at the Native Hawaiian population, they're now a minority in their own country.

@Roberto Antonio You are absolutely correct!! The only thing I disagree with is the statehood being a right. There is no right to statehood, its a consensus if both the US and Puerto Rican people want it or not. There is not clear answer if Puerto Rico wants it because all the referendums are BS and most people boycott. And it's obvious the US doesn't want us, the only politicians that call for Puerto Rico to be a state only preach it because they think it will get them a political advantage.

@@jlm3744 Puerto Rico has earned the right to be a State in the sense that the people of Puerto Rico have been fighting in all American wars and Conflicts since WW1. Puerto Ricans have died serving the United States of America, that alone qualifies the Puerto Rican people to be respected and treated equally. I don't want Statehood for Puerto Rico, so yes Puerto Ricans have earned the right to be a State with all the bloodshed and loss of life given on behalf of the USA Defending Freedom.

@@Roberto-Antonio Still No. The US doesn't want to give statehood to Puerto Rico. Even if 100% of Puerto Ricans turned out for the referendums and all voted 100% for statehood, they'd still refuse it. The referendums are always nonbinding so never approved by the US to happen in the first place, and Puerto Rico is an unincorporated territory, meaning we were never even destined to become a state, plus everyone knows that we were only granted US citizenship just so we could be force into the wars, Puerto Ricans didn't fight in US wars at first because we were "proud Americans", it was forced on us. There is no "right to statehood" just because Puerto Ricans fought in the wars.
