Pug Healing Tier List Season 3 Dragonflight, for Mythic + 

I've ran so many keys in so many seasons as a healer, since legion. I've played every healer and have 4 of them in that time around 3k+ in only pugs. I love resto druid so much in organized grps with predictable damage. But it starts to get frustrating once people take unexpected damage repeatedly. The best PuG healer for me has to be resto shaman. Interrupts can save so much damage and their mastery can just chunk someone up taking massive avoidable damage.

I really appreciate how upbeat your videos are. You seem genuinely excited and happy to speak about each class, even for classes that aren't the best PUG fit for this list.

loved this breakdown of the classes when it comes to pugging (since that's what I do more than anything still). haven't played much Resto Druid this season but I think I'll start playing it soon

Hey Bowser! Excited you made this video as I've tried the other healers and the reasons I didn't like them you summed up perfectly! For me I settled on Mistweaver Monk. As for me I like being in the thick of things and I love the martial arts/Asian influence and lore of monk in general so its a win win! Great video all round.

Trying to predict damage as a disc priest in pugs is a bad joke. I always see people claiming disc is S tier, but it's not even funny how terrible the exp of a disc priest pugging is.

Healed with most healers sometimes a 12 is harder then a 20. As a healer the group depends on how my run goes

Nice video! I also completly agree that just because a spec is high on a tier list doesn't necessarily mean that it's easy to play. I began playing Discipline Priest this season because i really liked it when pugging +25's last season for the remaining two weeks. And oh boy was i struggling to keep everybody alive, but i kept trying and now i'm doing 25-27's with my group!

Really great video and you did an awesome job ranking the specs for the PUG setting! The only minor thing I would respectfully disagree with is rdruid over rsham for the KSH/weekly +20 range. Rsham feels very tanky with 5k+ vers at that key range, and having so many interrupts/stops to control your own destiny is a godsend for uncoordinated PUGs. Also as you mentioned, never having to rely on anyone else for afflicted weeks feels amazing. Just throwing that out there for anyone on the fence about trying resto shaman after all of the recent buffs. Thanks so much for making this video!

As Hpal, the state of Word of Glory, Light of Dawn and holy shock are just awful buttons to press (holy shock at least puts glimmers and DR put it used to be way stronger in S1/S2). WoG used to heal for 30%-40% ish of someone HP. With the exception of damage (overnerf due to 10.1.5 impressive passive damage) pally is still doing 'good numbers' but doesnt feel good to play due to this. If they could do a HPS neutral rebalance with buffing WoG, Holy shock and LoW and nerf something else the to keep it in check the class would feel waaay better.

Playing both Tank and Healer(Resto Shaman) i feel that on keys 20 and under its never about the class its undoubtedly about the player. I've run effortless no death 20s with preservation evokers and holy priests. I've also struggled mightily with both restoration druids and discipline priests. I think all healers right now are in a great spot. I'll never run 25s and above so I can't speak to what classes will start to become separated. As always, I love your uploads Bowser. I been playing for about a month and a week now. all on preservation. ive worked my ass off pugging keys to get myself accustomed to all the dungeons on at least +16. your guides and videos have been my absolute saving grace for my mental because ive learnt when I can truly blame myself for wipes or someone dying and it has taken stress off completely and now i just play and have big fun on evoker. I did a humungous oopsie in rise the other day xD the tank thing targeted me in the battleground but I thought it was on the hunter so I rescued him onto me and he got one shot xD we both laughed hard at it but it did cause a big wipe. sorry I ended up rambling. the biggest issue I have come across though is healing in arenas that people end up splitting for, like ozumat and last boss of rise. how do I deal with that happening? just ask people to stay together or do I just leave that mage who has 20%hp on the other end of the map? edit: you mentioned everything i struggle with at the end of the rating for preservation xD bahahah, i guess i have to work on adapting my combos and being just a bit better at knowing when big dmg is coming. xD this is what i get for commenting before video ends. I would absolutely love it if evoker had a good spot heal because like you said, its all cooldowns and living flame is no where near enough of a heal to use while things are on cd and big dmg is coming through

Came here for inspiration for first healer class this expansion, went away with healing looks terrifying.

Talent into circle healing casts being increased by your renew casts, and use sanctify to constantly keep renew on the group. Aoe healing is no problem when you do that. I also take the talent to lower its CD

I really like your layout do you have a link to add-ons, bars, and cd management? I like that its simple and you have the party with all there cds running left on the screen. If you could give me some tips on your ui it would be most appreciated. I like the channel and love the video being I only pug and I play a bunch of different healers. So I understand the situations regarding where certain heals shine or fail and what I define the easiest to heal with in my opinion.

I'm more of a raider than m+ enthusiast (I know it's next to impossible to separate the two now, no thanks to blizz for that), but I do shoot for KSM so that means most dungeons finished with around a +15 and delve into +16/17 for aspect crests. I am also a holy priest main. One thing I use for the combo aoe healing/damage is holy nova; it does a surprising amount of damage now and it gives out some nice gradual aoe healing for the melee around the mobs (which contributes of course to more echo of light on everyone healed) and even reaches some of the ranged if we're in a tight enough area. Plus I feel like blizz will nerf holy nova soon enough so I'm enjoying it while I can.

One big issue with disc I’ve noticed is *that* they are meta. I think a lot of pugs see disc, think “oh, best healer,” and play a little more reckless or aggressively than they would do otherwise.

More people playing WoW like me omg hi ♥ As a priest main (holy and disc) forever and always, gosh disc is the story of two different sides of a coin. I've had high keys with a competent group where I feel like a *god*. And then some random low/mid keys when I'm just chilling or warming up after waking up can be disastrous. Holy priest feels more forgiving in low keys and it's easier to "heal stupid" and you also feel like a god during big pump moments doing like 300k HPS (sisters boss in WCM comes to mind). The damage is nutty too, there has been more times than I can count in mid keys (so like around 12-16s for me) where I've come out as like second or third dps in the group, if you plan your naarus for a DPS burst you can pull like 200k DPS it's hilarious. Overall both of these are viable into the I'd say low to mid 20s, but disc has a higher ceiling because of the increased utility and DRs and at that point you're with more organized or at least competent groups and that's when disc really shines. Holy always has a place in my heart though and 80% of the time I'm in holy spec just for raid nights, but I still like to swap to it once and a while in m+ just for fun

I love holy priest in pugs. At 2700 right now and it’s still so much fun

Being on my disc priest and not having an interrupt hurts so much. Watching something go off and not being able to go in and kick it is painful.

I have been spoiled by the fun of mistweaver so much this season that I have almost no fun on any other healer. I did end up getting an hpal all 20s but the throughput just doesn’t feel good. Any other healer I try I end up getting super bored and back to my MW. The utility and tools it has just make it so much fun. And the diverse way to play with casting sometimes and fist weaving make it extremely dynamic and no other spec comes close to it. I can’t stop playing it. I really do hope they continue the passion for this onwards into the next xpac.

I think this iteration of disc is super fun and easy to play but yeah, I actually swapped off of it as I got higher because of pug healing. It’s on-demand triage healing is pretty garbage. Amazing spec in a coordinated group though.

Forgot thunder for resto shaman as an other CC--- Resto shaman is sort of the king of CC atm.

I would argue preservation is towards C tbh. You quickly lack single target healing. You bring two bumps which makes it go back up but you get a long cd kick and huge reliability on cooldowns with the LOWEST of all healers damage. Holy priest does not bring a kick nor does it bring good control but insane overall healing and damage with one cheat death. Hpal brings immunities and lay on hands aswell as strong defensives/externals not to mention their imminity and short kick + control. Imo preservation this season specifically does not work with the current dungeons especially due to the range limit on certain bosses.

for 11.0 they should give pres evoker 40yard range! for me the "experiment" failed. its not fun. even as a dps a think sometimes 25 is bullshit 😂

I agree that the META and the PUG tier list is very different. My PUG Tier list is as follows: Holy Priest -- B Disc Priest -- D Mistweaver -- A Resto Druid -- B Resto Shaman -- B Holy Paladin -- C Preservation Evoker -- C My opinion is based as a DPS that knows nothing about healing. This list is based on how safe I feel with these healers as a PUG. I know Disc Priests are awesome right now but they feel like the healer with the Greatest variance in a PUG. Disc Priests are either great or terrible with terrible taking up a greater part of the pie. Doing damage as a healer sounds fun but the problem with most PUG healers is that they don't even care to do damage. So, it is no wonder so many PUG healers are bad at Disc. Many PUG healers don't even believe damage is one of their jobs. From keys +18 and up, you see healers do damage but even then you see some that barely do any damage at all. Just single-minded focus on healing. Maybe more healer guides should be about how healers should do damage and when they should focus on healing because PUGs are bad at it. Holy Priest, Resto Druid, and Resto Shaman all got Bs because it just feels PUGs know how to play them. It very rarely feels like they have no idea what they are doing. Pres Evoker may be great but if the healer doesn't adjust to ranged being out of range then the ranged DPS just struggles. That is on the DPS but healer's effort to make up for bad DPS is an extra responsibility Evoker has to deal with and normally don't deal with. I don't have great confidence in Holy Paladin in general or with PUGs and I'm not sure why. Just a feeling.

I'm a little sad because I really liked the Evoker healer, but man, it's a lot to think during the fights depending on the group.
