Delves are definitely a lot of fun. I’ve knocked out a few on alpha. I enjoy the “mage tower” challenge type solo content they have done with these. Definitely looking forward to building my airship and customizing that bad boy. I definitely preferred bran hucking out healing potions and he was really useful. I found he did a lot of smart stuff and jumped off stuff on his own and had some smart pathing while not pulling random enemies etc. they did a great job with it. I wonder who the next season will feature as they said it will change seasonally as well which is cool. I dig this feature and hope they keep this type of stuff moving forward.
Omg thank you sooo much..this will be my main end game content..I know that after lvl 2 you will need to get key fragments from other out door weekly content and 100 fragments make 1 key and based on your tier lvl what chest green blue or purple you can open there call key coffers..so your going to farm fragments to make a key to open a chest at the end of the delves..which is cool..I'm very happy that there making delves inclusive..I might do mining and herbalism since now I will get these materials.
I like the idea. However, looking back at thorgast/island expeditions... in the end it will all come down to difficulty & rewards. This can be the greatest thing ever, or feel like a mandatory grind and we only know it once season 1 starts
this actually looks good, thought it would be like a quest but instanced but turns out these will be a bit of challenge. I hope same guys that design raid/dungeon encounters gonna desgin those
Bruh I really enjoyed your video! I wish you get 100k subs soon. Delves and the Warbands will be my daily dose of wow. Finally stuff that I can do on my own. I wish you could do delves with your Warband.. I go full time to University and have 2 jobs, so playing wow it's difficult but now it will be amazing!!!
They really went safe with this expansion .... but it doesnt mean its gonna be bad. Now that we have solid new foundations with Dragonflight I hope they go a bit crazy after TWW . Restarting safe was fine , now its time to rock n roll Blizzard
You did your best, this looks mids, and like a niche path for gold farming and mats, they are crazy for not allowing good gear to drop from this maybe up to champion gear in mythic
Again, Blizzard has said they don't want this system to directly compete with M+ in terms of power/gear at the higher levels. It's always going to be a bit behind on gear rewards if you're running high end M+. If this system was just as good as M+, then you'd lose a ton of M+ people and that would make that system much worse.
@ZucoWoW then they should refine them to make it better, delves, island campaign, war fronts, scenarios, solo challenge mode, all had great concepts, just needed the relevancy and feed back to make this game what would be 7-8 times better, Does it feel bad and resentful when your key is bricked or not timed well that feeling is unhealthy habbit in a video game, the same premise they hold towards delves is how they felt about dungeons vs raid gear before mythic plus came out, and look how that reshaped the game! Hopefully they learn!
Haven't tried it yet, but it's probably easier for sure... Again, these aren't designed to compete with M+ or raid... They aren't going to reward the same level of gear as those other systems once the expansion really gets going. They are more for the challenge and fun and transmogs/Airship parts... So if they are a bit unbalanced, I don't think it's the end of the world.
@@ZucoWoW I thought tier 10 or so delves would reward heroic raid quality gear? Obviously not as good as m+ gear but still pretty good and they also said they want delves to be an endgame content path for players. I agree they don’t need to be finely balanced, but tanks have historically made solo content quite trivial and I haven’t heard anyone talking about tanks in delves. It’s also interesting that Brann can be a healer or dps but not a tank.
@@attinger117 You're right about the gear. Ultimately Ion said they don't want the gear to be as good as the highest end M+ or raid gear so that they don't create a feeling that players MUST to Delves each week on top of raid and M+ or the PvP that they are already doing. I think for most players, Delve gear will actually remain relevant for a long while into the expansion, which is great! As for the tank situation, it's def a tough one of Blizz to balance. They can't nerf tanks because they are going to find Delves easier then DPS or healers, that just doesn't make sense. We'll have to see how it goes.
The game needs a very big M+ and arena reward system rewamp, there is next to zero ingame motivation to grind high keys / high ratings. I afraid that will be the case with Delves too. You can do higher difficulties for fun, but there will be no motivation (relevant, atleast a lot of cool cosmetic rewards) to do it, so players will avoid it pretty soon :S
I think this is the entire point of Delve's in a way. Blizzard doesn't want to add another activity into the game that players feel forced to do as a chore every week. It's meant to be a fun activity you can choose to do with awesome cosmetic and decent gear rewards. I think adding Delves with this more casual mindset is a great idea. I agree Blizzard could def make changes to the existing M+ reward system to help with grinding high keys besides just the top 0.1% achievement.
I love how you compared the delves to Torghast, the Isles, and Warfronts...all which sucked and weren't played by most of the community, so now unless they change the rewards and make it worth running over and over similar to how group M+ works, but for soloing, then this doesn't bode well for Delves. However, I hope "Unfathomable Challenger" is a title we can earn
Lots of people enjoyed Torghast... It was actually a great feature. The problem with it was that it was mandatory in order to make legendaries... Island Expeditions were mandatory in order to get Artifact Power... Delves will not be mandatory. They have early seasonal gear, lots of cosmetics and gold. Yes, there is a vault slot that you can fill up, but again, that gear won't be relevant for the entire season if you're doing M+ and raid. It's a huge difference being able to do content if you want to vs being forced to do it for an AP grind.
I should have clarified... It will be competitive for a few weeks, maybe a month into the expac, but once you start getting to Hero track M+ gear and Mythic track M+ or raid gear, the Delve gear will fall off. Still very useful for people who only really do outdoor content or alts.
A lot of people play to have only somewhat decent gear and unlock appearances, mounts and achievements. A lot of people are not pushing keys beyond ilvl cap. A lot of people are not doing mythic raids (or even heroic). It's supposed to be content for non-competitive people
seems like youre having fun there, would be a shame if it didnt make it to live. FUN DETECTED!. gold will be nerfed to 0. bran will only harvest or mine if you have the profession. bran wont be healing as much.
Why would they nerf that? Lol... That's some serious pessimism you got there. The game has consistently been getting better since the start of Dragon flight, especially for outdoor activities. Outdoor Storm Events, Fyrakk invasion, Time Rifts, Dream surge events, the Grand Hunt, the Siege on Dragonbane Keep, the Community Feast! Blizzard has taken the lessons from the past mistakes in Warfronts, Island Expeditions and Torghast and created an amazing system in Delves. The profession resources I'm getting from Brann are quite minimal (maybe 3-5 herbs and ores per run)... That's like 10 more/herbs total. You could easily get 5x that in the outdoor works for the same time. Getting $800-$1000 gold per run is also not over the top. You could spend 15 minutes somewhere else in the game and make more. Delves will make it to live with these features intact. And yes they are a ton of fun!
